Hangovers

Drinking water always helps, since dehydration is the worst factor.

when i'm drinking i make sure i drink at least 1 glass of water for every alcoholic drink. i've never had a hangover. :)

Not a "cure", but for prevention...before going to bed after a drinking night (which I haven't done in a LONG time, btw!), I drink at least one glass (preferably two) of room-temperature water for hydration.

If I'm not mistaken, hangovers are caused by dehydration, and alcohol dehydrates the body (which is why they say you shouldn't drink on flights since the body is already being dehydrated). I'm not really sure why the water is supposed to be room temp though, I've just heard that it doesn't work as well if you drink really cold water.

So, um, why do you ask cinmell?? ;)

What used to work, back in my partying days, was a diet coke and a blueberry bagle with strawberry cream cheese. I cant tell you how many Fridays that was my breakfast at work.

Not having had one for about 25 or more years, hard to recall, but I thnk the best is a good night's rest.

I've never had one.

All I've ever heard from those affected by one is to hope for death or hope for mercy.;)

I've never had a hangover....I've still felt tipsy the morning after drinking too much, but I've never actually had a hangover.

Prevention is better. Have one glass of water for every alcoholic beverage. Hangovers come from dehydration, as the others have said. :)

LOL! My brother told me someone told him that once. He said never, ever, ever get a do that when you have a hangover from drinking waaaay too much wine and try that.;) You'll only get drunk again.:teeth:

I've also heard the pedialyte is supposed to help, never tried it though. :D

Well, last night, I kept drinking water in between my drinks and I am slightly hung over this morning! ;) Totally worth it though, I had an awesome time at a Superbowl party last night!! :):)

The only thing that helps me is a Wendy's hamburger and french fries! I don't know why, but it works! ;) :)

A large Coke from McDonalds with a cheeseburger and fries. There is just something about MCD's Cokes:)

I try to drink a couple of glasses of water before bed, and I also take Tylenol before bed, too.

Back in my college days, I used to drink a glass of OJ before going to bed after a night of drinking. Not sure why it works, something to do with the sugars.
If the oj didnt work, plenty of sleep in a darkened room usually did the trick.

I have never had a hangover, so I have no home remedies to offer you. Maybe this funny story can help though. My uncle (mother's brother) is 9 years older than she is. He came home drunk one night and went into the bathroom for something to help. He decided to take an alcaseltzer, but instead of letting in dissolve in a glass of water, he hoped to speed the process up by swallowing the tablet and then drinking a glass of water. he thought he was going to die!! My mom still finds this story funny!!
