We just got back from a 3 day trip on the Wonder. We reserved 2 handicapped rooms (7636 & 7638) to accomodate our 2 boys with wheelchairs. There are a total of 5 of us and we were told there were no staterooms that were accessible and accomodated 5.
When we boarded, we realized 7638 would hold 5 comfortably. It had a queen bed, a bunk bed, a sofa/sleeper and a murphy bed.
We complained to guest services that we felt we had been misled and had to spend a couple thousand dollars extra for an additional room.
They said that they added one bed to the room after we booked our cruise.
What a disapointment! There cannot be that many people booked in these rooms across the many cruises, that they could not cross reference and at least ask the traveler if they want to consolidate. Their systems are pretty nimble.
Just thought I would post the heads-up.
