Friend is going with a family of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids), and she said her father will be getting a handicap pass (which she said will get him to the front of lines). Can anyone tell me whether this can be used for their whole group, or is it just a few people? Thanks.

She is talking about a Guest Assistance Card (GAC). It will not necessarily get him to the front of the line from what I have read, will not most of the time. There is a FAQ thread on this card.

First of all--there is no "handicap pass." There is a guest assistance card--but it will NOT get him front of the line privileges. It is a card that gives accommodations to meet the needs of the guest (such as using the stroller as wheelchair.) Most lines are mainstreamed, which means everyone goes in the "regular" line. The only people who sometimes go to the front are children on their "Make-a-wish" trip.

The card says right on it that it is not intended to make your wait shorter (as a matter of fact, it sometimes makes it longer!) Also, the maximum number of people included is 6--so will not accommodate their whole party.

You did not say why your friends dad is getting a " handicap pass". If it is because he has some type of mobility or stamina issue he will not get a GAC at all. They will advise him to get a wheelchair or ECV and he will use the main que and for a very small number of rides there is a handicap ramp. But, to answer your question, the card is good for the person who needs it and then 5 more people.

Thanks all - that's what I figured. And teh sticky referenced above has everything else she needs to know. Thanks again.

We had a guest assistance card for our 3yr old... who used a stroller as wheel chair... not that any of that matters.

It was very nice. We didn't mind waiting at all... we were prepared to wait just like everyone else, but in a much better spot. Most CMs were super nice.

Your friend's family will have a great time!!
