I am local, and my family will be visiting in a couple of weeks and staying at the Swan in an H-accessible room. They are driving and will be able to park their car valet at no/charge. We will be visiting and have a handicap parking card also. Will we be able to valet at no/charge? DH had surgery and uses a walker but has a limited range. Thank you

I would call the local number to verify. However, according to their Transportation & Parking page you would have a charge. Again, according to their website even a registered guest would have a fee so I would verify things as what you've shared is not what is posted. The keeper of the Swan Dolphin thread, Dan had reached out a couple years back about the fees - here was that post. The SD policy is different than the Disney resorts, hence why I'd double check.

8. Do you provide parking for guests with disabilities?
Designated parking areas are available in our parking lots for guests with disabilities. A valid disability parking permit/placard is required and standard parking rates apply.

AFAIK, Swan and Dolphin don't have the free valet benefit that deluxe Disney resorts have - so they'll be charged as would you.

Even at the deluxe Disney resorts, visitors without resort reservations would still be charged for valet even with handicap card.

So I'm pretty sure you'll both end up being charged.

This is not correct unless it has changed very recently. Anybody with HA plates/placard staying or visiting may use valet for free (please tip) at a WDW resort that offers valet. No requirement to be an overnight guest.

Responses about Swan/Dolphin/Reserve are correct. Parking fees are not waived for HA, valet or self-parking.

Thanks Janejudy for clarifying - I thought I read that free valet at Disney resorts required a reservation at a Disney property (any) so thought someone just coming in from town wouldn't qualify.

Since valet is only offered at deluxe resorts and most of which do require some kind of reservation (overnight or ADR) to access the parking lot, in a way that could be correct. But it's due to the parking lot access policies. With regards to the valet parking [unwritten] policy for HA, there is no differentiation made between resort guest or day guest. A day guest with an ADR is the same as an overnight guest.
