He everybody
We are going to Florida at the end of October and this will be our 7th trip we have always stayed in Hotels but this year we have hired a Villa on Hampton Lakes and we are now wondering if we have done the right thing, we was wondering if any of your brilliant members (brilliant site) had stayed there or anywhere near there and could give us some advice or maybe put our minds at rest with any comments on staying in villas or the area it is in

Arthur

Hampton Lakes is a really nice villa area. Nice and quiet and you will appreciate the luxury of your own pool after a day in the parks - it is wonderful to relax.
It is just down the road from ours and we find the location ideal. It is about 15 minutes into the heart of Disney.
There are a good supply of shops nearby - Publix at the corner of US27/192 and other smaller shops. The restaurants on the 192 are easily accessible and we quite often hop on the I4 up to International Drive in the evening for meals.
If you want to know anything else about the area just ask.

Hi Arthur - welcome to the DIS UK :) ! Just moving your thread onto UK Trip Planning :)

Angela is right -the 27 area where Hampton Lakes is very nice ,Convenient for all the attractions and the coasts ,you will certainly appreciate having your own pool out side your door and the space and sense of freedom a home will give you.You will find your home is all you want and maybe even more.

We stayed at Hampton Lakes last December and it was great. Very quiet (esp. at that time of year). I couldn't imagine staying in a hotel room for 2 weeks with the kids and it was great having the pool. We are going again this December and will be quite happy to stay there again though if you are going to Universal/IOA then the journey is a bit longer than some areas but nevertheless it is great.

Have a great time

Debbie

Hampton Lakes- Yes I've heard of it.

That's where our villa is.

Its quiet and peaceful and having your own pool is just what you need after a hard day at the parks (or shopping).

You most definitely have not made a mistake going there.

Conveniently located, it is a 12 minute drive to WDW, 30 minutes max to Universal. The beaches on both coasts are 90 minutes away. The nearest Walmart 13 minutes. Nearest (Publix) supermarket is about 2 or 3 minutes away.

What more do you want apart from sunshine, but you'll get that anyway?
