We stayed here during spring break in 2002. I was very nervous about staying offsite, but we couldn't bring ourselves to pay the peak season rate at the All-Star Movies where we usually stay. The Hampton Inn was very nice. The rooms were clean, the hotel seemed fairly new, they had Krispy Kreme donuts on the breakfast buffet! We definitely felt we got a good value. I would stay there again.
Having said that, we missed being onsite. There was a really quick way to get to the parks in the morning, but we got stuck in some traffic coming back at night which is the last thing we want to deal with at the end of a full day of park hopping. At the end of the trip we decided we would stay onsite for the next trip, but since that trip might end up being spring break again, I might have to think about that Hampton Inn for nearly half of the AS rate.
