Hammocks for fireworks viewing

I'm planning on watching the fireworks from the beach at the POly. We will be eating at Ohana's prior to that. Can anyone who is familiar with the Poly give me directions on getting from Ohana's to the proper beach? I don't want to be bumbling about in the dark and miss the whole thing.

Actually, there are signs posted on the beach that the beach and it's amenities are for the exclusive use of the Polynesian Resort guests.

No disrespect to the previous poster, but I think if you want to stroll on the beach you certainly can, or use a hammock (I doubt they are all taken) to see some fireworks you can. Last year we stayed at POR and ate at O'Hanas. Afterwards we just looked around and walked on the beach - it was so beautiful that that is why we booked there next month!

After eating, go downstairs and walk straight out towards the pool. You'll be able to see the top of the castle (if I'm remembering correctly) and that's where you'll see the fireworks.

This question has been mentioned before and I was curious myself since the staff at the Polynesian has always encouraged us to watch the fireworks from the beach after we dine at Ohana. I inquired with Disney guest relations aabout this and they told me that as a Disney resort guest we were welcome to tour their resorts, that the only exception is the pools (of course). They said the diners at Ohana, Kona Cafe, etc., ARE considered guests of the Polynesian, even if not staying there. They hope that by visiting the resort that you will choose the Poly for your next stay.
