Hammocks at Castaway Cay?

We've only been to Castaway Cay once, and we spend that day on Serenity Bay Beach in a hammock.
We're planning on returning to Castaway Cay, and are wondering if the family beaches have hammocks as well?

Yes, they do! I suggest a member of your family disembarks the ship first thing in the morning on Castaway day if you want to "reserve" some space that includes hammocks. I find that they are one of the first seating options to go.

There is no reserving of hammocks on Castaway Cay, except in the Cabana guest area, but that's off limits to most guests, anyway. DCL policy is that all loungers and hammocks are nonreservable and open to anyone who wishes to use them

So if you race off the ship and put your stuff on one, then disappear to do other activites, don't be surprised if your stuff is on the ground and someone else is on the hammock when you finally return.

As mentioned above, If you want a hammock, make sure to get off the ship early. Usually the hammocks on the larger family beach (Away from the Water Slides) are available a bit longer because the beach is bigger and there are more hammocks.

Also mentioned: Make sure to have someone stay with the items for a while and keep an eye on the space for a bit otherwise others are known to take them if no one is monitoring the area. The hammocks are not usually very close together, so ensure that you grab a few loungers, etc to pull over next to the hammock.

My husband loves the hammocks, but there are only (2) on the Serenity Bay beach. He will literally stay there all day, and we only got to do that once... while people camp out next to you trying to encourage you to leave so they can use it.

@DCLCruiseFan09 - and anyone else, I would love to know if you can recall where on the family beaches would be the quietest, and perhaps the closest together, I might find (2) hammocks. A girl can dream at least.

So... the best area I can remember with more of the hammocks is towards the start of the family beach closest to the ship. Usually the areas closest to the water slides are the busiest but it just depends. I remember on one of the last cruises I took we all hung out in hammocks that were right next to each other near the kayak/water bike area.

We've been to Castaway Cay before, always on the adult beach, and they had only (3) hammocks total. Two by the bar, one by the entrance to the beach. They always seemed to be busy, some people just camped either on it or by it waiting for a turn. That's all my DH wants to do on our October trip, and I wasn't able to get a cabana, so any tips (even if it's going to the family beach to get one, not sure where we would go on the family beach exactly either) would be appreciated - thank you!

I am not sure that the non-concierge hammocks have returned to CC.

If they have, the best option would probably be on the first beach near the snorkeling area

They had the hammocks back during our June cruise. Saw at least one by the adult beach bar that was empty around 1pm. Not sure where the others are...it was our first time there and we were busy the whole time.
