Hammertime's Report 12/27-1/3 day 5 and 6

12/31 - got to a late start but were expecting to stay all day at the park so we didn't want to go right when it opened. While we really wanted to ride mission space and testtrack we knew that the lines would be to long and that we would go back on the 1st to ride the rides. DH still made me go back to see if there were any fastpasses available, there weren't and the standby lines were 3 hours long! Pretty much saw everything else there was to see in the area and then headed off to the German Pavilion for our Priority seating reservations(the only one we made) at the Beir Garten. That was lots of fun and a good deal. $20 for the all you can eat buffet and entertainment. By the time we got out of there the CM's were handing out hats and noise makers. While DH and were trying to be troopers and not be grumpy the noise level skyrocketed. (if you read my early posts you'll know I didn't like the Dinosour ride because of the noise) Everywhere we went adults and kids alike were blowing they noise makers as hard as they could. Trying to escape we went to the Mexico pavalion to the ride. While the noise level died down slightly I had to contend with two little tikes about 5 or 6 playing red light green light behind me. They never said red light soon enough and were constantly running into me. Then they started say "Tushy Tushy". I'm sure they were talking about mine since they certainly ran into enough. Of course the whole time the parents didn't say anything like sorry to me or don't do that to their kids. I don't mind being poked or proded by kids it's just going to happen but it would have been nice if the parents at least TRIED to control their kids. Anyway by 8pm DH's cold finally got hold of him and he wasn't feeling well. We headed back to POR. I headed out to get us some Ice Cream at the food court and stopped to enjoy the piano player at the bar who had the kids singing Spunge Bob Square pants at the top of their lungs. Had me laughing and you could tell everyone was having a great time. By the time I got back to the room DH was fast asleep. I woke him up and he ate his ice cream and then the next day he said he dreamed he ate ice cream. Guess I didn't wake him up after all. In bed and asleep by 10. Slept through the new year.

1/1 - It's a new year and we are both feeling much better. We head back to Epcot. Got fastpasses for Testtrack and stood inline for Mission space. We only stood inline for mission space about 20 minutes. DH loved this ride, I on the other hand was not feeling very well afteward and had sit down while he went and played all the games. Took me at least an hour before I felt normal again. Testtrack was ok not a big deal for either of us. We're glad we didn't have to wait inline for it. Grabed a tuna sandwich at the American pavillion. Saw everything that we hadn't seen the day before. took off around 5 to go back to the hotel for another nap wanted to be back intime to Illuminations. Back to the park at 7. Were bummed that living Seas was closed by then. Spent some more time at the work showcase at at the little paris cafe, the cheese and fruit plate was really good. Went to go find a good spot for Illimunations. Ended up finding a spot by the American pavilion. Illimunations was all it was supposed to be. I had my earplugs in but your so close to the fireworks that they were still loud enough to make me jump and the music was loud enough that I could hear it perfectly through my earplugs. Headed home for the night.
