Tomorrow night there is going to be a documentary about Hamilton on PBS. My daughter is having a get together at our house with about 8 of her fiends to watch it. Will anyone else be watching? Have you seen it live?

No haven't seen it live, but set the dvr to record it last week when I first saw it was going to be on

My DD14 is so excited. She absolutely loves the show and loves Hamilton (Lin-Manuel). We can't wait to watch it.

I have not, but darn -- when I saw the title of this thread, I was hoping the musical itself would be on PBS.

I was hoping it was the musical live, too. Saw it last November. Had tickets last month for my family. I ended up selling mine and my friends and my kids went on their own. The tickets just had too much value for me to be able to enjoy the show. I tried to buy tickets for May during the Tony Awards but couldn't get through. I obviously love the show and would like to see it again for a reasonable price

We'll be out Friday night but we have the DVR set.

We're heading to NYC in March and will be seeing the show then. To say my family is excited would be an understatement.

We bought our tickets the night of the Tony's and hubby got through after 18 mins. Later we heard they sold out in 20. Whew.

I can't wait. I don't imagine they will show the whole show until much more into the run or after it closes. There are producing deals around that. It could perhaps get a one night theater experience like legally blond did. However this show really has to be seen live. I've been very fortunate to have seen the show 2 times off Broadway and at least 3 (might be 4 or 5 I have a terrible theater memory) on Broadway.

I've seen the show and the documentary (it premiered at the NY film festival a few weeks ago). Both are AMAZING, but the documentary is not the entire show. It does, however, have 15 minutes worth of a professional video of the performance (multiple different clips throughout the doc).

You won't be disappointed!

See when I saw the title I though it was going to be about Hamilton himself not the musical. In that case, I would probably watch it because I watch most things history. Since it's about the musical, probably not since I'd prefer to see the musical first, kind of like not losing the magic sort of thing.

It's actually very much about both. It covers Hamilton's life, with interviews from historians and clips of historical sites, and intersperses it with the creation of the musical. There are trailers and clips online if you want to get an idea of it.

We have been waiting months for this...I wish there was more of the show in it...but I guess we will have to wait for a touring production to come through Texas for that.

I saw this last month on Broadway. It's amazing and I'm still listening to the soundtrack.

My daughter is away at school, and they're having a get-together to watch. None has seen the play yet, one day hopefully!

I have been waiting for this for months.

This along with Lin's all Hamilton Drunk History episode next month. :cool1::jumping3::jumping2::jumping1::Pinkbounc

We will be watching it for sure. We have yet to see the live show but we watched over and over again someone video on google drive that they must have recorded while at the show- it was a really good copy of it too- we still want to go see it but it was great to be able to see it even just recorded while Lin was still in it!

Thank you!! I will definitely be watching. I saw it when it first came to bway and just got tickets in the Amex presale for June. I am going to take my kids-they are obsessed with the soundtrack.
