Hi!

This is the first time I have a read a PTR, and, I must say, I love it!! I think I am going to have to do one!!

I just thought I would give you a quick fill-in on Minnies character breakfast. It is great!! There are tons of characters!! We went in April of 2007 to Minnies for the first time. In that one visit we saw Minnie, Mickey, PLuto, Chip, Dale, Capt. Hook, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Alice, Mad Hatter, and the Fairy Godmother!! There could easily have been more, thats just all I can remember! I would say for the most party they all came to our table (we out outside on the patio), and I did see that nearly all of the characters would go in and outside. It was fabulous! We are trying Storytellers this time I think, maybe Lilo and Stitch though. We have done Goofys several times and love it each time!!

:welcome:

Thanks for the tip! I'm DEFINITELY going for that one than! I was so hoping someone would give me a rundown on that particular character breakfast! And I'm so happy I've inspired you to create your own! Also, check out Charleston Princess's - she write fantastic and has links off the first page so you can get caught up to date pretty quick.

Here is a Dole Whip on me....lol

That wasn't me! BUT-- Yum! I've consumed it already. I won't give it back. :rotfl2:

DID YOU STEAL PIC THAT FROM KMAB00? :guilty:

But I will say that I also have found cheaper to LAX than SNA, although at TIMES, I have found good deals that are just as comparable to SNA, if you're willing to gamble around with it. A good website is farecast.com that actually predicts whether fares will go up or down and if you should buy or wait.

Gotta go to work. Got talked to yesterday about my tardies. Thanks to the DIS. :rotfl:

That post with the picture of the Dole Whip makes me want one right now! I think having one of those and then going in the Tiki room is a highlight! It's just so classic, like it's in a time capsule or something!
Hope the planning is going well!:)

Awww, seriously, I am soooo flattered!!! :flower3:

I'm currently compiling my final choices for dining and my MISSION is to post them by this time tommorow!

Mickey's ToT is happening when we're there just on the 10th of Oct.- which will be our first day in the parks-unless I decide the pull the kids out of school and leave Thursday morning (I don't have the plane tix yet- I'm a gambler) instead of Thursday evening. Than we can close out DLR Thursday afternoon/evening and close Fri at DCA for the party.

So... But I don't want to do our first day at the Land on a Saturday because it's the busiest day for the park. I'd hoped to do DCA that day.

As it stands, I have 4 days worth of Disneyland Commemorative passports and tickets that we will be using. 3 days of DLR and 1 day of DCA. I did that through various online places and through ebay. Purpose being, those tickets never expire, and after they tear off the stubs, and give you a special pass for the fastpass machines, you still have something to take home and frame/scrapbook/or even sell again as a collector's item. Doing so, I got the value of over $600 in tickets, for slightly less than $300. HOWEVER, we do not have park hopper options, nor do we have Toontown Morning Madness vouchers, both of which I would've liked, now that I know that MToTP is going on during our first scheduled day in the parks.

Oh what to do......

Do I......
A-- Keep what we have and do DCA on Friday, saving DLR for Sat/Sun (my least fave option-- but it saves me 1 days worth of unexpiring tickets that I'd wanted to keep)....
B-- Leave earlier on Thursday- which means the kids miss school (K & 1st grade), closing out DLR and going again to DLR Friday, leaving early for MToTP that evening at DCA until the kids peter out, do DCA in complete on Sat as planned originally. And DLR for the last day on Sunday before leaving Monday.

I'm thinking B. Agree? I had bought the last set of DLR tickets as a mistake, not realizing that I'd had enough for 2 days, and since I have 'em, might as well use 'em.

And I realize I probably have you all very confused at the idea of Disneyland Commemoratives so I'll also make it my mission to take pictures of them and post here for your viewing pleasure.

Boy, I just signed myself up for a lot, huh? Good thing after today I have a full 5 days off for Memorial Day! <--- Dang, seems wrong I'm not going to DLR NOW, huh? Will def. plan better next year!! :rotfl2:

Alright I tried to follow all that about the tickets, but I haven't had my coffee yet so I'm not sure I have my brain wrapped around it completely. Anyway I just thought I'd tell you that the Halloween party is so worth it! Whatever you decide you should for sure go to the the party!

:surfweb:

I def. knew I was gonna confuse people-but my thoughts were racing about this as soon as I woke up because I finally looked at the dates for the party yesterday and I swear I dreamed about it last night! :rotfl:

But I'm very glad you chimed in because something I did NOT list was that I was considering skipping it but now that you told me that I have decided inequivocally that I ought not.

Alright.

Neat, huh? Hope you enjoyed- that was a lot of work! LOL. Next up, Day 1 Itinerary w/dining.

Thursday, Oct. 8th-

Chi-town to LAX
Disneyland Express to Anaheim-- check into HoJo's and get situated.
Head to the parks! :cool1:

We'll arrive around 2-3pm, which is coincidentally when we arrived in 2006, and turned out to be the perfect time to catch the parade right at the end of Main Street for the 3:30 route. Planning on this again.

Hop train into Toontown and grab something at Clarabelle's Frozen Yogurt and Pluto's Dog House do Go Go Gadget's Coaster & Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, play around!!

Head to Fantasyland. Do everything we can there.. Thank heavens Small World will be closed for refurbishment and I plan on talking the kids out of Casey's train & Storybook boat-ride -- boring and the lines are long. Sorry, I know they're park classics, but if they really want to do it- we can do it on Sunday- our 'whatever-we-missed-or-want-to-repeat' day. Do the Matterhorn from FL side.

Head into Frontierland, where we'll get dinner at Rancho Del Zacolo and do whatever the kids want to do there before catching the fireworks. If the kids are up for it, we'll do some shopping on Main Street if they didn't grab anything in the park earlier in the day.

Go get some ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's.

Friday, Oct. 9th-

Bright and early, we'll still be on Chicago time, so sleeping 'late' will still be getting up early! :yay: The kids will be rediculous, I know, so we'll be at the gates at opening, to arrive for our PS 1st thing at Minnie & Friends Breakfast at the Plaza Inn. ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo :donald: :eeyore: :goofy: :tigger:

From there, we'll head into Tommorowland. Grab FP to Space Mtn. (or just wait if it's not long) do Buzz, Astro, ST., Autopia, Jedi Training Academy.

Hop the train to New Orleans-- see the Grand Canyon and Dinoland dioramas on the way!! YAY!! 1st time for all of us! :woohoo: Do POTC and HM (Jack Skellington decorations!!! :cool1: ), grabbing some late lunch at the French Market or Mint Julip Bar --depending on how hungry everyone is and what the lines look like.

From there, we're heading into Adventureland to do the Jungle Cruise & let the kids take time in Tarzan's Treehouse. Dinner will be light at Bengal BBQ and we'll get our Dole Whips at the Tiki Juice Bar! The Dole Whips are another 1st time for all of us! :woohoo:

We'll be heading back to the hotel after all of this to get ready at the hotel for Mickey's Trick-Or-Treat Party! pirate: princess: :bride: :pirate:

Now-- does anyone know if F! shows F-Sat-Sun during the beg. of Oct? Because if it's not showing Sun. night, we may have to come back for the 10:30 showing Friday! :scared1:

Boy- I'd better get those kids in tip-top-vitamon-fortified-form before Oct!

Next up: Part IV- 2nd Itinerary for Day 3 - DCA

Your plans sound great -- I love all the names for the restaurants at DL -- so different from the Magic Kingdom names!

Your itenerary sounds great so far! I really love DL....I am wondering if I can convince DH to go during Halloween :cloud9: My bday is around that time so maybe I can tell him that's my present :)

It's great how you have your CS meals planned, too! You're going to love the Dole Whips! The French Market is pretty good, too.

Can't wait to read more :goodvibes

Wow you even have your cs restaurants picked out this early, that's pretty impressive.

I don't want to miss anything and by playing Follow The Leader with my kids, I figure it'll be one less thing to make a time-sucker. I got all the menus at Allears.net to see if they would like what they have to offer.

They are pretty cute, Disney is so .....well.... Disney!

I can't wait for the Halloweentime! I just LOVE the DIsneyland's official video podcast about that time of year- they filmed so much that I got just way too excited. I've done quite a bit of looking for the decor at WDW during the same time frame and it just doesn't seem quite as decked out as DLR/DCA!! Or maybe that's just because the whole park is so much smaller it can look more cohesive. But they really outdo themselves- check it out if you can!

:dance3:

:thanks: Thanks for chiming in, guys - I only wish the lurkers would help me too! Come on lurkers! Gimme that info in those lurking brains of yours! popcorn::
