Halloween Time at Disneyland, Oct 16-19. Lots Of Pictures! Trip Report Completed

We haven't been since March of 2007. I am so hoping that I can figure out a way to convince my DH that we need AP's. I am working out a plan to convince that if we had AP's it would save us money and improve my moods. I know I can prove part of that at least.

I figure that I can get him with the we can exercise with Richard Simmons like every other month. The only thing is that we are a family of five, if I don't include my Mom and well scratch that just say six.

I should tell any possible boyfriend that trips to Disneyland are required on a yearly basis if they don't want their princess princess: to turn into a witch. :stir:

Umm that was easier before we had our army. Scotty is usually pretty good about it. So where are the pictures?

YOu don't even know what a pain it was to upload my pictures. I managed to do it wrong 3x. :sad2: Now all 500+ are on my Photobucket account. I'm hoping to do another update today.

I know how hard it is. I was just hassling you.

Yikes!! Redbull in one hand, and the other with a camera. What was holding the steering wheel?? :scared1:

Besides that.................................I am enjoying your report. As usual you are a great story teller. :goodvibes

I miss having an AP. If we knew we could make at least two trips a year(each consisting of 2 or 3 days in the park) I think it would be worth the money. However, I just don't think it'll be possible so that makes me sad. We are hoping to go to WDW again in January 2010.

Have you guys been to WDW before? How many times? (sorry if you've said before. I have a bad memory.)

But just look at all that stopping distance! :rotfl2:

I'm glad you're enjoying it (even if you are just lying).

My mom asked me if I was going to renew mine. I told her that I wanted to, but she told me not to. Little does she know that I will be going in March. :rolleyes1

I have been to WDW, but I was about 3 and don't remember a single thing about it. I would love to make it over there again some day.

It was about 11:30 when I arrived at the Mickey and Friends parking structure. Today I would be on the Mickey level, all the way on the other side of where the trams load. Excitement had me jumping for joy, or maybe it was all the caffeine. I'd only managed to eat a Clif bar on my way down so I had a rumbly in my tumbly. Food would have to wait though, it was time for some rides, or actually, a ride as the case was. Once I got to the load cue, these images got me super excited:

You know, I have no idea why it bugs me SO much, but on that last picture of the girl on the with broom...why does she have a shadow? :confused3
I boarded the first tram. On the way we passed this cute scene:

Finally I arrived in DTD. Jumping off the tram I made a beeline for the Disneyland gates. There were only about 6 people in front of me, so it wasn't too long before I went through the turnstiles. Earlier I had decided that Pirates of the Caribbean would be my first ride, so I went down Main Street, made a left into Adventureland and finally arrived at Pirates.

I'll admit it was a bit strange riding by myself, especially having that whole row to myself. The people behind me were cracking me up, it felt like I was riding with my family. After Pirates, my tummy made it clear that it was time for food. So where to eat. My tummy kinda hurt so I didn't want anything too big. A pretzel would be perfect I thought. I went to the usually places I get pretzels and all of them were closed. Hmm, I know! I'll have pizza! Wait a minute, the pizza place is having a problem so no pizza. At this point I was in Toontown and frustrated beyond belief. You never want to deal with a hungry Wendylady, I get vicious. So I took a time out and sat at a table by the "bank" in Toontown. I thought maybe I'd pull out my iPod and waste some time. I opened and closed every zipper on my bag about 6x, then I finally dumped everything. My iPod was not in there! Momentarily I freaked out, how could I possibly loose my beloved iPod? Then I figured I probably left it in my car. The thought of the walk back to check just did not appeal to me and I was still hungry, so one problem at a time people! Hmmmm.... I know! I'll go get a corn dog! So I went back to Main Street and got one of these:

Mmm yummy:

The cups were all set for Halloween too:

After I finished eating, I sat at my table and relaxed for awhile. I know I saw some character walk by, but I can't remember which one, actually I might be making that up all together. :confused3 I took some picture of the area around me.
The Baby Center:

And a lamppost:

What was I doing!? I was in Disneyland, I shouldn't be relaxing! :rotfl2: That's when I decided to head over to DCA to check out Candy Corn Acres, yum yum! They were playing the same 4 or so songs over at DCA and by the end of my trip if I had to hear "Lollipop, lollipop" one more time, someone was going to get a lollipop up there...find a happy place, breathe. OK, that's better.

There was a banner for the Blue Sky Cellar so I made my way over there and was impressed with everything in there. The concept art was beautiful. Of course I wasn't happy with all the possible changes, but I trust they know what they are doing.

At this point I had to go to TSMM. I'd never been on it and I was excited to try it for the first time! Single Rider, of course, was closed, and there was NO way I was waiting in that line, so I kept walking on. I found a stand that did the Tinker Bell Twists, so of course I had to have one, it was on my list of things to try after all:

Walking along I saw my future kids (if you don't know, it's because of the monkeys on their backs!):

OK, that's all for now folks! Part three will be coming shortly, so send me some Red Bull and chocolate. No? I didn't convince you? Darn. Oh well, maybe next time.

Hey, how do we know you aren't making up this whole thing???? Were you even ever in Disney?? Was that really you were saw? Or was it all just our Disney imagination?

OK, that part about the monkey on their backs totally had me thinking of that George Michael song. You probably have no clue what I'm talking about, do you? I'm sure I'm dating myself here, but hopefully someone else will remember......

Why can't you do it?
Why can't you set your monkey free?
Always giving into it -
Do you love your monkey or do you love me?
Why can't you do it
Why do I have to share my baby with a monkey?

:rotfl:

Oh, and I almost forgot! How was your Tinkerbell Twist?? Yummy, huh? Huh? See? Told ya!

Lovin' the trip report and all the PICTURES. Makes me want to go to DL SOOOO bad. The Halloween decorations look so awesome and geeeeeez a corn dog and Tinkerbell Twist would be great right now. My DS3 asked me if we could go to Disneyland tomorrow. I answered "sure." Fortunately (I guess) our APs are expired, so we can't just jump in the car and drive down like crazy people. But it looks SOOOOO fun!

Keep the report coming.....:woohoo:

I know you are getting old Beth, so I'll remind you: We already discussed what I thought about the Tinkerbell Twist.

I know I'm not important enough for you to remember what I say, but come on old woman!

I'm glad you're enjoying the pics! There are many many many more to come. I'm actually a little overwhelmed with all my pictures. :rotfl2: If you do go to Disneyland tomorrow, you should take me! :rotfl:

I went with my family and extended family when I was 6, 10, and 14. Then I didn't go again until this year (at the age of 26.) And this year was the first time I husband had ever been there (he was 29 at the time.) It's a completely different experience to Disneyland but it's still an amazing vacation. A lot more tiring though.

What is a Clif bar?

I really do miss disneyland so much! On our last trip, we didn't ride the tram at all because we stayed at a hotel in walking distance. It's funny that I actually miss the tram ride. I guess I mostly miss the feeling I'd get every time as we'd approach the park.

Yeah...it makes so sense that the witch has a shadow.

Cute halloween cup!

What exactly is a tinkerbell twist?

I remember that song. My sister was a big George Michael fan back in the day.

Very nice pictures and trip report. How dare they not have the food you want. The meanies....:rotfl:

As a matter of fact, I do remember asking you. However at the time I didn't care enough to actually listen to your answer.

In fact, I don't care now. So forget it.

Go back to your monkeys.

Thanks!

I was fortunate enought to only have to hear Heimlech twice! Actually only 1.5 times. Phew! That was enough. The songs were really starting to get on my nerves by the second day.
