Hi Laurie! Hmmm....tips on fundraising.....
Is your husband able to do a collection at work?
Do you know anyone who works somewhere where they are able to set up a donation jar type thing?
Those are the only two things I could think of that are somewhat easy to do. I hope you meet your goal!

And wow your trip really is getting closer!

He's looking into setting up a donation can in the break room.....he can't do anything in the store itself. Will give it some thought if any of my other friends could help with a can......

I may try to host a dinner where family & friends pay for it as a fundraiser........

Had a blast at the Oregon Zoo today. Mike & I took the 4 littles, our oldest son & his fiance joined us. We met up with Kelly & her mom Rosemarie (Dis Divas), Kelly's 2 daughters & Kelly's dad as well as Carol (another Dis Diva). The weather was absolutely perfect for seeing the animals today. It was sunny but a nice 70 degrees, which allowed the animals to be out!!

We took a break for lunch & then caught a bird show.....here was one of the beautiful parrots:

After the show, this bird handler came down the stairs where we were standing with a hawk:

I love your zoo photos! It is making me excited for my trip to the zoo! After DLR, me and my friend are heading to San Diego and are gonna spend a day at the zoo there. I went to that zoo once before when I was 8 and loved it! And how fun that you got to do a mini-meet with some of the DIS Divas

Oh you'll have so much fun but be ready for some major hiking.....I've heard there are tons of hills to climb at that zoo. I haven't been to the SD Zoo since I was kid but have wanted to spend a day or two in San Diego on EVERY Disneyland trip but it's never worked out.

Mini Meets are super fun....wish I could attend more....but most happen at DL or in Vegas. (just too far away for me)

Woo Hoo, we're out of the 70's & into the 60's!!!!! In 9 days, I can make our first day's dining ressies!!!!

As far as temps here in the Willamette Valley.....we're actually gonna be in the upper 80's today & tomorrow.......this past week (or 2) has been low 70's....so it will be nice to have a real "summer" weekend!!! Hope everyone's out & enjoying themselves!!!

Still fundraising for Autism Speaks....slowly but surely getting some. I've decided I could never be a salesman.......lol Just not hardcore enough!!

I've been putting the link about 3 times a day & that's where I've gotten all my donations.....except for Jillian who saw it on here before I had to remove it (didn't realize that was a no-no until Jessica mentioned it to me in a PM).

We're thinking of hosting a BBQ with burgers, potato salad, chips, drinks & maybe chili for $10. Offering kinda like an open house & having karaoke too. Just need to get ahold of a couple friends who might have a community building in their neighborhood to find out about renting it & oking the use of grills. I think this would be a great way to fundraise if we actually could get anyone to stop by.....that I think would be our biggest issue.
