There is trick or treating in the atrium. On our recent cruise there were two separate events: 11:30 and 4:30. The 4:30 was mobbed (I heard 11:30 was better). They have candy stations throughout the atrium as well as into the after hours section of the ship. We were left with a candy bag for our daughter to use in the stateroom the night before. There were also various games to play.
The door decorating was fun. We did pretty much the same door decorations as the previous time we cruised. Some people had Halloween stuff, but not all. I wouldn't say nuts, but definitely fun with a wide variety. Do check out my trip report in that forum if you're curious about more detailed information about our Halloween experience.
