Halloween on Oct. 31, 2002 Wonder?

Thanks Taz,

My DD wants to know if she has to pay for her special coffee drinks at Common Grounds...... Does anyone know?

Hi Shari! You have probably already left, but HAVE A SAFE TRIP!! ;) I leave in exactly two weeks to head to Florida!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

danbarbara: I saw your message the other day that you are just down the hall from us! My entire clan is all together, we are in 6064, 6066, 6068, me in 6067, and 6069 (I think! ;) ). See you soon......

I hope that they will be playing The Santa Clause 2 as it is released on Nov 2!! :p I have seen a thread on these boards where one person said that it will most definately be playing, and another person said probably not. I guess we will just have to wait for the suprise!! :p

Oh Tas........I almost forgot, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all the different ideas on making our M & M's! :p Didn't really want to make them as I/we have other things to do before we leave, but we are going to make them anyways!! :bounce: At first nobody wanted to "play" along with me, now , they are all as excited as I was/am!! In my searches for our M & M costumes, I found a costume that I would love for my brother or brother-in-law to wear, but it is not real "family oriented". It was called Tassle Twirling Tessie, and it was a hoot!! ;) :p

Anyhow, I will see you all soon..............

Hola Tas.....I'm jealous that you're already on your way ....hope your trip is pleasant.....see you on the Wonder !!!:p

Oh my gosh! Me and my sister went to the fabric store last night to get our stuff for our costumes. I am so excited...... We are going to have the "great sew-off" this weekend in case anyone is interested!! ;) We have 9 M & M's to make and 2 bags!! At first noone wanted to dress for Halloween, now they are all as excited as I am!! :p

See you soon..............

Oh fun Kim. I can't wait to see all of you!

So I know we r all meeting at 3pm on the 31st but where...my memory is terrible!

Liz

Of those of you wearing costumes, how many of you plan to go to dinner in your costumes? We have early seating and my family and I all have costumes. Not sure how much time we will have to change into costumes between mandatory drill, sailaway party, dinner, shows, etc. Any thoughts/ experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Just a couple more weeks!!!! :p ;) :p ;)

I haven't thought much about wearing costumes to dinner, I was just going to "wing it" when we get there. This is our first cruise so I don't really know what kind of time we will have! ;) We also have early seating, so it will probably be more feasible to wear them to dinner, I just don't know how comfortable that will be though.

Suggestions please.............

Hola to all! Yes, I am happily in FL right now. :smooth: I am very busy with everything from photo shoots (horses!) to theme parks (all). Just wanted to touch base with everyone. My Halloween costume will be a long black dress that's sort of a mix of Gothic and medieval, since my (adult) nephew is still going to be Gothic. My guess is we will likely be at Triton's the first night. We have late seating, and it would be nearly impossible for us to be in costume for any earlier activities, then back to "normal" for dinner, then in costume again for the clubs or Halloween bash. This of course, is because I will be wearing weird makeup that will probably include purple eyeshadow under my eyes to make me look really gross, etc. :jester: It's easy to change clothes, but not to totally redo my makeup. So I intend to be in costume at dinner.

Oh - to answer the question about the brief mini-meet on the ship, it will be on the Deck 7 "secret after verandah." It should be unlocked. Just head as far aft on Deck 7 as you can go, then open the door to the verandah. It is dead center at the rear of that deck. Again, not everyone in your party needs to attend and we ALL would not fit, but if you can send at least one person, then we can arrange the time and place for our group picture.

Also, for those of you who will be at MNSSHP on the 27th: Yes, I will also be in black and "Gothic" - either the same as I'll be on the ship or just slightly different.

Still can't wait to see those M&M's!!! :teeth: TTYL!

Shari

Shari, I'm glad to hear that you made it to Florida safe and sound!! :p I myself will be making the trek very shortly!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

See you on the "secret deck 7" soon..................

rere,
yes, yes, yes!!! Have you seen the Disney commercial where the children are up talking at night and when the mom shoos them off to bed the little boy states" We're too excited to sleep!!". The mom then goes to bed herself where her husband says " I'm too excited too sleep." That's me.

I am a bit nervous as well as I have not finished sewing my costume yet. I have not sown anything before but have a sewing machine(go figure), so a good friend is teaching me to sew. I just hope I complete it before I need to pack  .
Oh well if not. "I'm going to Disney World ( and cruise)" regardless. :D :p

:bounce: :Pinkbounc ME TOO! :Pinkbounc :bounce: ME TOO!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc ME TOO!!!

I am so glad I have an extremely busy week this week to keep myself from going insane (and from bursting!) waiting out the week! ;)

momto2dkids: I too am there with you on the sewing the costumes bit! Although, I have sewn before, the machine I am borrowing from my mom is "freakin out". The darn thing is sewing upsidedown, and we can't figure out why. It was so frustrating, so we decided that it will work for sewing the pieces together! My sis-in-law is bringing her machine over tonight so we can finish those M & M's!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc I'm kinda glad we had an impossible time finding "already made" M & M costumes, because it is fun making them - with the exception of the frustration for the "freaked out machine"! ;) It is fun to be able to say "I made this"! :p

See you all on the seas very soon.................

Hello everyone,
Question for those of you traveling with 7-9 year old girls. How many of them are planning on using Oceaneer Lab? How many are going to go the Lab the first night? My DD(8 1/2, but she says almost 9) is planning on using the Lab and would like to meet some new friends. I have read that if children are going to be using the Club/Lab that it is a good idea to have them go to at least some of the activities the first night to meet and get to know some other kids. I think this is a great idea, but I am concerned about when she will be able to go to the Lab between the sailaway party, dinner, shows and any of the special Halloween activities that will be taking place the first night.
I think the last count form this thread had 4-5 8/9 year old girls sailing between all our groups so maybe this won't be a problem. Just wondering.

Just to let you know my daughter Natalie (who just turned 9) wants to use the clubs most of the time...she wants to meet new friends too...where do you think we could meet up so we can introduce them? I am planning on singing her up when we arrive and was planning on playing the first night by ear to see what's up. If there are Halloween activities throughout the ship I am sure that most kids will be involved in them instead of using the club. But she will be there after breakfast the next morning...Hopefully we can meet up on Thursday afternoon...Barbara

danbarbara,
would love to meet up with you al and have to girls meetl! Not sure what time we will be on the ship yet. We are using DCL transportation and have not decided if we will try to go to Animal Kingdom one last time that morning before heading to the ship or head there directly from the resort.

I'm pretty sure that my DD will be in the Lab Thursday morning after breakfast, but probably will be leaving around 1130-1200 since we have 1:30 reservations to swim with the dolphins. She will probably want to go back to the Lab upon our return though.

Have you and/or your family ever cruised before, DCL or other?
This will be my children's first time. I hope they do well, my daughter has a tendency to be a bit shy at first so we'll see.

I am planning on going to the mini meet at 3pm(?) aft deck 7 to meet people and find out about time/location for the group picture. Maybe right before or right after would be a good time.

Just having a hard time waiting.

Hello All!!

I forgot to mention, we will be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge the night before we sail. :p

I have a DD how is 7 will be 8 in January as well as a DD that is 3, 4 in December. They both will be attending the Kid's programs. We are going to sign up as soon as we can and play the first night by ear. They will most likely be going after breakfast on Friday.

Would like to meet up with other children their age.

:D :D

I will try to meet up with you around 3:00 but I am not sure what will be going on since this is our first cruise. She will be in the kids club after breakfast on Friday (for sure). My daughter is shy at first too but she warms up quickly. I also have a son who is just about 14...any body in your party fit into this age group??? Oh well, I am sure we will meet up. By the way...my name is Barbara and yours is???? Sorry I missed it previously and I am terrible with names!!! See you in 8 days!

danbarbara,
My name is Lynette. My DD is Erin. I meant Friday in my earlier post, sorry for the confusion. This is our first disney cruise so we are not sure how everything will fall together, I just have faith it will.

greene2411, we would love to meet your DD as well.

My other child(DS) is 3.

So looking forward to meeting and sailing with you all soon.
