Halloween Horror Nights

no, it wasn't a cheap plug. Slacking paid his admission into HHN and voiced his opinion. I don't work at either park, and I haven't been to this year's HHN, but I was at the last 3 as well as the howl-o-screams. and BG is gaining ground. and judging by the people I watched gathering at IOA yesterday, BG is doing a better job keeping it a little more family friendly yet on the edge. the crowds at HHN are becoming so much trailer trash and goth freaks.

and that FLA guy has some serious personal problems with Busch Gardens. he likes to attack the park whenever he can. don't take it personally.

They aren't personal problems. The fact that the park is complete crap is Busch's problem.

Way to stereotype there, btw. The people in attendance at HHN are a very normal mix. You're always going to get some goths at a Halloween event. As long as they aren't doing anyone any harm, what's the problem? And I don't know how you got the impression that HHN was ever about being family friendly to begin with. They clearly state that it isn't. MNSSHP is down the road.

I think that there is room in Florida for both events. BGT is not crap but it was the only theme park to have drop in attendance last year (hurricanes?). Slacking is right that BGT will be less crowded. There are a few of us that lived in pre-Mouse FLA when BGT was the only game in town if you don't count Cypress Gardens.
I'm going to both Halloween haunts this year and form my own opinions as should others. Tourism is what makes FLA thrive and I support all of our great theme parks/events including the MNSSHP at the Mouse Trap!

Not true. They just don't allow you to bring in alcoholic drinks.
Pssst. That's true, but there is a way. A water bottle filled with rum looks like a water bottle.

it's rated PG-13 as HHN is. we have a 12 year old that loves these events. therefore, we go as a family. and yes, we'll go to MNSSHP as well. and it's not stereotyping, it's an observation. I'm not saying only trailer trash attends these events, but the percentage sure rises this time of year.

I can't name a single thing of quality that exists in that park outside of it's coasters, and I don't ride coasters.

Well, I liked the berry drinks. They're of the variety where the alcohol just kinda sneaks up on you.

Another vote for Body Collectors here - the rest of the houses seemed to be lacking in the gore area, and that's really a staple of a good house (in my opinion, at least). I also thought the variety of the separate rooms in Cold Blind Terror was nice (I'm a sucker for those black and white painted rooms). Terror Minds was a brilliant idea, but a lot of the overall effect hinged on where the person with the light on was looking.

Didn't get much out of The Skool. Too much banging things with bats for my tastes.

Was Bill and Ted any good this year? One of our group members was a drunk jerk, so we ended up leaving a little earlier to get rid of him.
