Halloween Goodies?!

YAY!

Wow- everything looks so good, how will I decide?!

I think I can count out the caramel apples. While very cute, I'm happy just to look at them, no need to eat one. :)

So far I want to try a pumpkin muffin, gingerbread boy, candy corn cookie and perhaps some pumpkin fudge (although the fact that someone stated it's a bit too sweet might sway me).

What's the consensus on the cupcakes at the parks? Are they pretty much like you can make at home or more gourmet?

I agree about the apples - I LOVE looking at them because the designs Disney comes up with for Halloween and Christmas are adorable, but I don't need to eat them. Pictures are fine.

I have read mixed reviews on the DIS about the cupcakes at DLR. I saw that big, fat pumpkin cupcake in Marceline's last year just as we were getting ready to leave, so there wasn't enough time to stand it line, buy it and try it. Then, when I went back to DLR at Christmastime I was hoping to find a peppermint cupcake but I never got a good enough look in the cases to see if they had any. So I haven't indulged in the cupcakes yet, though I love a good cupcake in general. I have read some people's reviews saying that the cupcakes at DLR are too dry and/or the icing is too sweet & thick, while other reviews have said that they are moist and delicious and yummy! So, I suppose, just as with any restaurant or food item at DLR, you will get mixed opinions.

At French Market they have a yummy cheesecake topped with fruit, they put a hard sugar Jack Skellington in it, not edible really, it's made of the same stuff they use for the sail with the cookie boat. :) But the cheesecake is good...not really seasonal tho, they serve it all year, they just add the Jack for the holidays. :) The pumpkin fudge....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm but I had to share it with DBF and eat it over a couple days, it's sweet. :)

Pumpkin fudge!! mmmnnn! It sounds so good! Can't wait!!

Oh man, I forgot all about the caramel apples, too. They are the biggest pain to eat but delicious. My family is going to have to drag me licking-and-screaming out of the candy stores and Pooh Corner. I am such a sucker for holiday food.
