For those of you camping at the Fort over Halloween, you might want to know that NASA has just delayed the September launch of Discovery to November 1st. This is Discovery's last mission, and the second-to-last mission of the shuttle program. So, besides next February's launch of Endeavour, this is pretty much your last chance to see a shuttle launch before they are put out to pasture.
Now, don't worry about partying late on Halloween night and having to get up early for this....the launch is scheduled for 4:33pm!
Wish I could be there to see this. It's quite a sight. I know you can see the launch from the Fort, but if you can drive over to the coast to see it it's worthwhile IMO. For you locals, it's probably not a big deal, but for anyone traveling from out of state to be at the Fort this could be a good side trip.
