Halloween decor this week vs next?

We were hoping for a reservation next week to see the parade and Halloween decor, but have not had any lucky yet and did get 1 night this week.

How is the Halloween decor this week vs next? I am trying to decide if we should keep looking or just keep the night we have and appreciate all advice, we have never visited in October or got to see any Halloween at the Ft and Halloween is our favorite holiday!!

I think this week will still provide a very good show decor wise. Of course, next week there would be more, but this week will not disappoint.

If you could get 1 day next week 2 or 3 days before Halloween, you would not be disappointed. We have camped at the Fort the last several years for Halloween and I will tell you that Halloween day and especially night is busy and chaotic. The loops are so crowded with people and golf carts that actually getting to enjoy the sites is almost impossible. If you are wanting to see and really appreciate all the hard work that is put into decorating the sites, then golf cart looping a couple of days before Halloween will offer you the best opportunity. JMO

If you have a golf cart reservation …GO …if not I would cancel .
I checked in Sunday for one night with golf cart reservation and really enjoyed the day and night exploringtheWilderness. I can’t think of any reason to visit the Fort without a golf cart .
And I was surprised to realize I enjoyed the holidays last year with Xmas decorations & golf cart More than this year for Halloween .
I am glad I experienced both holidays . And don’t have to keep that on my list anymore.

We do!! And its the driving factor right now, because Im afraid even if a waitlist comes through for me next week, we wont be able to get a golf cart from what Ive been reading.....

We checked into the 1200 loop on Monday. They said they were at 95% and would be at 100% by Friday. There are a lot of decorations now. Golf carts go through the loop day and night.

@jaredjohn4 , did you receive a handout of the Halloween events/dates/times like the parade, ToT, etc.? If you could take a pic of it and post it, I'm sure folks would appreciate it.

There wasn't any schedule posted, but there sure are a lot of decorations and decorated golf cart cruising around. We are headed north now and hope to be back in Illinois for Halloween.

I check magicalresortguide.com and there are no Halloween resort activity sheets posted there either for (spot checked) Wilderness Lodge, Poly, Contemp, nor Grand Flor.

PS - the 2025 schedule is pretty standard stuff. But note there is no info about how/who can access the Fort around 10/29-11/1. Which is a good thing imo.
