Congrats To Everyone Who Got Their Docs!!!!!!

It's absolutely miserable here too. It's 87 degrees which, according to weather.com, feels like 83. I hope it doesn't snow tonight!

Chris....I feel your pain....It was 87 degree's on my way home tonight. :) We are getting into the 70's at night so Fran is having to throw a blanket on the bed for herself :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I need to move south. You don't know how depressing it is to know that you won't see the 70's for at least 6 months. How high do the temps get in Tampa in the middle of summer?

In West Palm Beach the summers are HOT :sunny: 90 to 100 degrees with 100% humidity....perfect for yellow speedo's

Does anyone know if we have to fill out the forms in the Doc's that we all just received in the mail? I already filled out all the forms on the online check in.

In Los Angeles (LAX airport) the annual highs range from 69-85 and lows range from 48-67... depending on the day of the year. Historic maximums (the ziggy lines in the chart above) run from 82-112 and record lows run as low as 29-52. Humidity is generally low. Smog can be an issue in the city. Housing costs, driving (traffic) times and high taxes can be a shocker though. Frankly, I know there are better places in the USA with similar weather and lifestyle without the high housing, traffic and tax issues. And if you find it/them... please send me a PM so I can make plams to move there!

In Los Angeles the average annual temperature is 63.0; AM relative humidity averages 79%, and in the PM 65%. Annual rainfall averages 12" with 147 clear ski days, 116 partly cloudy days and 103 cloudy days.

Yikes! I'll keep the 115s with high humidity (for here, that would be like 50%). We all just need to become snow birds. They really have the right idea. The only problem with being a snow bird is that you are forced to eat at Luby's at like 4:00 in the afternoon and drive like an imbecile. Oh, and you have to get a handicap placard to hang from your review mirror. Hey, come to think of it, I'm not far from there now! But, I can't bring myself to eat at Luby's...

Karen - I think we just need to fill out the Bahama (momma) forms and bring the signature form that you printed from the online checkin.

Did you get your docs? Mom got hers. I am still waiting for the cute UPS guy to drop them off. Although now that the weather is turning cold, he won't be in shorts. Half the fun is gone!

You got Luis a yellow Speedo, right? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :scared1:

I have not seen 100 degree's in my 5 years here. It is usually in the mid 90's with very high humidity which makes it feel like 120. I do understand how depressing winter is....we moved to Tampa from Pittsburgh where we only got like 55 days a year of pure sunshine. I like the cold weather but DW would probably kill me if I told her we were moving north again.

That does sound like perfect speedo weather, however I am not sure how my "burn and peel" skin would hold up down there in the summers :beach:

55 days of pure sunshine is not enough, that is depressing. How long did you you live in Pittsburgh?

Hope everyone waiting for docs gets theirs today...

We were in Pittsburgh for 3 years. We lived in Memphis before that for 3 years. Now Memphis had some hot summers....we did see 100 degree's there.

Dave,
Living in CT all my life I have to say that I am soo very jealous you living in FLorida.. I would love for DH to come home and say we have to move down south. I hate the cold and the fact that summer is way to short up here...

I looked outside this morning...right now it is 36 degrees, but the sun is out and the day is beautiful...we live by many trees and I think they are at their peak color change this week. So I was reminded of my favorite month when I was growing up here in the buckeye state...October.

I actually grew up in the Buckeye State......It is the longest I ever lived in the same place. I was in Medina which is just outside of Akron for 10 years.

I grew up in South Fla. (South Miami) and it was HOT year round. You break a sweat getting out of the shower! :sunny: I moved to N.C. because of the short but not too hot summers, mild but not too cold winters and my faves, spring and fall...camping weather :teeth: In sunny South Fla. I never knew what Fall was :confused3 I would rather be cold than hot...but then again, I'm a polar bear :)

Hope everyone who's waiting gets their docs today. Let's see some dancin' :dance3:

AWOL- this is for you! "Si hoc legere scis nimium eruditionis habes" :snooty:

Fall? That's the season right before spring, right? :teeth: I think it also goes by the name "December" here :rotfl:

:rotfl2: on the latin. What it should say is that if you can read it, you know how to use google! I put that in my siggie, and the rest, to poke fun at some of the other siggies I've seen floating around here ;) Unfortunately, I don't think a lot of people get it, or me for that matter! :lmao:

Hey all,

I just got booed...Anyone else get the little bouncing pumpkin????

If I didn't have "ties" to any state....NC would be my pick of where to live!! It's so beautiful, and the weather seems to be the perfect mix. But, I'm a transplant to this area from Northern Ohio, and my parents and grandma relocated down here to be near all of the grandkids (my sibs live here now also). Dh grew up in this area, so his family is nearby as well. So, I'd have to say the best thing about living here is having so many family members close by, and our kids are soooooo close to all of their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. That is PRICELESS!
