We are doing well. I have been hunting for houses out here in Missouri. Kim is working hard at trying to sell the house. I am at one of the facilities that makes the Ball Park Franks, Hillshire Farms deli meat (in the tubs) and the Hillshire Farms sausages.

We are excited about the trip. Kim is bringing the kids out here for a week before the trip to Orlando. They will be able to see some of the houses and see the pumpkin celebration with the Pony Express monument.

One question. When should we get the documents? We are concerned that they might arrive after Kim would be heading out to Missouri.

Chris

Kristin, I am sending hugs and prayers to you and your Dad. I pray everything goes well. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Chris your documents normally arrive anywhere form 4 weeks to 1 week before cruising depending on who you booked your cruise through.

Anyone see that movie Deep Waters, where the scuba divers were left in the ocean? Talk about fear!!
I am actually going to face one of my fears while on Castaway Cay. I chose to do the parasailing to step out of my comfort zone and to face my uncomfort with heights. I never thought I had a fear of heights until vertigo kicked in at the Grand Canyon, inside a building, going up a flight of stairs...go figure. :confused3 I'm not afraid to go up high, I just don't like the feeling of how I may be coming down! So, if ya'll hear some screaming and you can't figure out where it's coming from...just look toward the sky :rolleyes1

Arent' irrational fears great? I'm totally not afraid of heights... Until I get there. I can't even hang the Christmas lights on most of our house because it's too high! My neighbors all make fun of me because as hard as I tried, Teena ended up hanging the lights when she was 7 months pregnant!

15 minutes until Nip/Tuck.....another show getting completely out of control BUT I'm guilty of watching anyway  !

WHAT!? That's not fair! I have to wait until tomorrow - It's not on until 10:00PM here, so I have to record it! Well, I could stay up, but it would take an HOUR to watch and tomorrow I can watch it in 45 minutes or less ;)

On a side note, we got our docs today!!! Okay, it wasn't docs. But, we did get our ME luggage tags. So, it must be time to start packing!!

Missy, You are too funny...Wouldn't you be afraid to go into someone else's home and what you might find might make you want to leave asap......

I would never really do it! Can you imagine........no way.

Hope everything goes well with your dad. I am sure it will turn out well. I take it you live in the same area?

Kristin, praying all goes well for your dad!!

Okay, on the sharks thing.....it really is more like a phobia. I am deathly afraid of them. I grew up with an inground pool, and as a kid I used to even have nightmares that some how sharks could travel through "drains & pipes" to get into our pool. So, every morning before I'd jump in, I had to carfully examine the water to make sure no sharks! Yes....I'm over THAT fear now.... and the rational side of me completely understands that they are more afraid of humans and they aren't looking to eat us, but the phobic side of me thinks they'd smell my fear and come looking for lunch! I'm just never getting in the ocean....problem solved as far as I'm concerned. :goodvibes

Okay, now you are probably all thinking "she would be the freaky mom on wifeswap!" :rotfl:

Kristin, I'll be thinking about all of you today.

Has anyone besides Kristin been able to confirm that we will celebrate Halloween in St Martin and pirate night in St Thomas? Each CM seems to give a different answer.

Please excuse the interruption....

I was a very brief part of your thread last year when we thought we would be cruising with you. We changed our cruise to Oct of 07 but just wanted to wish you all a fantastic cruise and delightful weather!!

I hope you all have a great time. Say "hi" to Mickey for me!!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my dad...We all really appreciate it...
The surgery went well. He has prostrate cancer and had surgery today and he was there a bit longer than expected but is home now with my mom....He should be good to go on the cruise.....So we all are very greatfull for this.....

It is hard to be the one waiting for someone to come out of sugery I have always been the one having it....So it seemed to take forever for him to come out...

Yes, they do live close to me only three miles...I would not know what to do if they lived any further away than this....

Tomorrow night grey's and survivor...I think I will make us up a pitcher of margaritta's and watch the shows....

Kristin, I'm so glad to hear your dad's surgery went well. :grouphug:

Kristin that is good news. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Kristin,

I am glad that the surgery went well. Sorry about the late well wishes. I was so excited to get posting that I did not read the old info.

When you have a moment, could you send me the url for the website. I do not have it on this computer.

Chris

Have an extra margarita for me. I am hoping LaRue will TiVo Greys for me tomorrow, as I have a volleyball game during that time, which should be fun as the forecast is for mid 50s and light rain. By Minnesota standards, that must mean the cruise is getting closer. :bounce:

Thanks again for all of your well wishes for my dad.. Really means a lot...

Anyone want to take bets as too who will get voted off tomorrow or what will happen on Grey's??????????

I called in a few weeks ago and was told by the CM that Pairate night would be on the night we are in St. Thomas. I would have to check my papers, but I think the CM's name was Amanda. I will try giving them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

Kristin, so glad that you Dad is ok. He was in my prayers today! Hope you are getting some well needed rest!

Kristin - glad to hear your dad is doing well! I know what it is like to wait! It seems like forever.

Since I am a one-person company & often get business with very little notice, I haven't ever left behind my work. I found a colleague to cover my business for me while I'm gone!  :cheer2: :cheer2: So, I'll check in a couple of times, but for the most part, I get to have a real vacation. Wahoo!!!

We'll be sailing before we know it and we'll be keeping busy by fighting the insurance company on their coverage of Cody's catheters :( We have to file an appeal to the original denial. Hopefully, this one comes through. Before we leave would be great, but not likely.

OK.. I missed the Survivor discussion a few pages back! But I want to put in my two cents. Being a white mom of two black daughters I have a little different outlook. My kids and I LOVE watching survivor together... and this season is giving us something to talk about. The only thing that has caused problems is my 7 year old said that if we were playing that we could not be on the same team, and that upset her a bit. I told her that it is just a game, but she did not like the idea at ALL! Anyway, just thought I would throw that out. I am not sure how I feel about it.. I think it will be intresting for sure! But I am waiting to find out what else my kids have to say about it.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

ARE WE THERE YET???

PS: MY 7 YEAR OLD WON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN BMX!!! YEA FOR HER!

wndrmite,- congrats to your daughter on the BMX championship :cheer2: . That's great!

Survivor IS interesting this year. It's also interesting to hear yours and your daughters opinion. As you've already stated you are in a position that makes this show all that much more thought provoking. Your 7 yr old is smart. There are no bounds between a mother and her child and the love they have for each other.

It feels like fall today! It's only 59 degrees right now. The only cold I'm ready for are frozen drinks, while sailing away, on deck 10 of the Magic!!
