OK.. I missed the Survivor discussion a few pages back! But I want to put in my two cents. Being a white mom of two black daughters I have a little different outlook. My kids and I LOVE watching survivor together... and this season is giving us something to talk about. The only thing that has caused problems is my 7 year old said that if we were playing that we could not be on the same team, and that upset her a bit. I told her that it is just a game, but she did not like the idea at ALL! Anyway, just thought I would throw that out. I am not sure how I feel about it.. I think it will be intresting for sure! But I am waiting to find out what else my kids have to say about it.

PS: MY 7 YEAR OLD WON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN BMX!!! YEA FOR HER!

First of all, congrats on the BMX championship....that's awesome!!

You brought up a good point about Survivor, and one that had not occured to me. I'm 50% Mexican (from my Dad's side....his family immigrated here when he was a baby)....and my dh is mostly Polish. My kids are a mix of all kinds of things. So whose team would we be on?! :goodvibes

Congrats to your daughter on the BMX chanmpionship!!!!!!!!!

Kritter: Last week I was exposed to mold which gave me a serious case of sinusitis ( or I already had the infection and the mold made it worse) so I sympathize with you! I now have unexplained hip pain. My DH is ready to bubble wrap me to make sure I make it on the boat in one piece!

Wndrmite: Congrats to your daughter :cheer2: She seems like a very bright child. Now days, there is no pure race, so the whole to-do on survivor is overrated. My Mom is full blooded Shoshone Indian and My Dad is 1/2 Irish and part Jewish-Cuban. What team can I be on??? :confused3

The only Survivor I have seen was the one with Rupert, and that was only because I was changing channels and saw him stealing the shoes. I said "Now that's a real pirate!" I was hooked! My DH came in and saw what I was watching and laughed (we are not big reality show fans) and I said "you gotta see this guy, he's a trip". We watched the entire season!!

:offtopic: I did my traffic court today and got my ticket reduced :cool1: and only had to pay $50.00 plus court fees. Glad that's over :) Tomorrow we are off to Raleigh for the Lion King. Has anyone seen the Broadway show? I'll let ya'll know how it goes when we get back on Sat.!

Fall is definetly in the air! My pool is down to 78 degrees but I am still swimming. I am hoping to be able to swim up until the cruise. Rick calls me his Mermaid. I am getting so excited about the cruise. It will be here soon.

ArmandXG Let me know how Lion King is. I have been wanting to see it. The closest to Broadway I got was at Animal Kingdom, not the same but is was GREAT!!!!

wndrmite- CONGRATULATIONS to your Daughter. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks for all the congrats for Shavonna... I read them all to her and she was smiling ear to ear! She told me to tell you guys you can see her championship picture on her website www.sponsorhouse.com/members/shavonnak What a turd.. promoting herself! ;) Wonder where she gets that!? :confused3 Her birthday is sunday, the 24th. She must think she is all grown up!! :rolleyes2 It seems she is turning 13 instead of only 8!

My oldest is dealing with Strep Throat!! Yuck.. I told her to get it out of the way now so we are healthy in time for the cruise.

To those dealing with sinus infections etc.. get better soon!!! :flower3:

I am jealous about all the SURVIVOR GEAR, but I would NOT want to go through what he did to get it, I am glad he is doing better!

Well, off to take DD's temp to see if I can go to sleep for a while...

NIGHT ALL!

Congrats to Shavonna!!! Wow. What an accomplishment. You must be so proud. I hope your oldest is feeling better soon!! Get the yucky stuff out of their system now so that they will all be healthy next month!

As far as Survivor goes, I am hoping to get some inside scoop from Jeff's Mom. She in the Cook islands to see the 5,6,7th people voted off, so I hope she'll give up some scoop after those shows air!!!

My DVR is weirded out & I didn't get Survivor taped tonight. I noticed it halfway though, so I only got to see the last half. Interesting as usual! Gonna watch Gray's Anatomy tomorrow :)

Everyone is welcome to share my bubble wrap :teeth: Let's all make it to the boat healthy, happy and in one piece :dance3:

Yes........I saw it a few years back and it was fabulous! I only go to shows that I can get "good" tickets for so we were pretty close on the floor and it was unreal. However, I have heard that the upper levels are great for this show since the isles are used quite a bit. You will love it!

Anyone seen Mamma Mia? My daughter and I are seeing that next week.

Have a great day.

We saw the Lion King last year and thought it was great. We also saw Mamma Mia about 4-5 years ago, it was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it.

Hi Everyone. It's so cold this morning. The heat is on and I 'm even going to drink hot chocolate!!

All the shows were good. I still think The Office is the funniest show out there.

I am not looking forward to today. Olivia is having two teeth pulled. Her mouth is getting overcrowded. She worries about EVERYTHING but so far is being pretty brave. No food after 8:00 am so she is getting in breakfat AND a chocolate pudding :confused3 . We bought her Cheetah Girls 2 cd to surprise her with after. They will be around here in concert October 29th. I asked "would you like to stay home for the concert"? Of course she said NO WAY!!!! October 27th can't come fast enough!!!

I saw Momma Mia last year (I think) and I loved it. I went with my sister, and we had a fab time...only wish my spouse was with me. I told him that if it came around again, He would have to go. I have the soundtrack and play it constantly.
I am a big Broadway musical fan and also love the Cirque du Soleil shows. I think I have seen eight of the touring shows...La Neuba twice!

Is it time to go yet?????

Jen, hope Olivia does okay today. I know that can be quite painful. :grouphug: BTW....I love The Office too! Unfortunately, I missed it last night :( Was it good? How did they handle "the kiss"?

We also saw The Lion King when it was touring here a few years back and loved it. I think we are going to see Annie in January. I still love that show. I'm sure I'll be singing "Tomorrow" & "It's a hard knock life" for days afterwards....

Missy, have fun at Momma Mia. Sounds like a nice mother/daughter date.

Congrats Shavonna!!!!

Jenn, Hope everything goes well for Olivia today!

So what did everyone think of Survivor and Grey's Anatomy?

In Survivor, I was very disppionted to see the Aitu tribe throw the challenge, just to vote of Billy. This early in the game you think that you would need as many player in your tribe as possible. Kind of funny what Billy said about loving Candance.

At first, I was a little bored with Grey's Anatomy. It seemed to kind of drag a little. It did pick up in the last 10 mins. I loved what Dereck said to Merideth, but I wonder if it is too little too late. My favorite part was when Christina called Dereck McGuilty! :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a great day!

Heather

Congrats Shovanna!!!!

Jen, Will call you later to check on Olivia...Hope all goes well with her...That just sounds painfull...

It is freezing here today....I can not believe it in some places around here they had a frost last night.. I am taking out the down comforter for our bed this afternoon....
But now they are saying 82 on Sat. no wonder we are all sick....This weather is crazy...

:yay: :yay: Thirty days from today I will be in MK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :yay:

So what did everyone think of Survivor????

And what will Merideth do on Grey's??? That show seemed to move kind of slow last night!!!!!!

What is it about ABBA? Was watching one of those VH1 list shows and they (along with the play) were listed as one of VH1's top guilty pleasures. I had this crusty old First Sergeant a while back, ex Special Forces guy, really tough. When we went on ruck marches he would put the head phones on, and throw an ABBA tape in. Just didn't fit. And man (sorry Buckifan) did I have a crush on those two girls. Hey, I was probably like 10 yrs old! Anyway, enjoy the show.

I KNOW!! Wasn't that weird when he announced he had fell in love? What a goofball... I was also upset about them booting him like that, but after hearing him talk at tribal council, it may have been for the best!!!!
