I'm sure it's probably booked. Has anyone done this through Disney?

Hey Jen.....we did this about 3 years ago and had a blast, so much so that we are doing it again this cruise. DD was about 7 or 8 when we did it and she loved the boat ride but hated the swim to the beach. She is still going to hate it this time because the sea is still salt water :rotfl2: She hates salt water and will do just about anything to avoid it.

Dave,
Excellent to hear! I canceled the dolphins and booked the Golden Eagle!! Maybe we are on the same excursion. I booked the earlier time. Olivia will be 10 in January (and not the bravest ocean swimmer) maybe she and Kelly can swim to the beach together :p

Hi All,

Just checking in!!! Anyone see wife swap last night with the pirate family???? Freaking was what it was!!!!!!!!!

I caught that show by accident - it was like a train wreck - you can't look away!!! I did check out the youtube videos of the "talk like a Pirate" guys...a couple are funny!! (warning: a couple do use bad language)

pirate: Happy "Talk Like a Pirate Day!!!!" Arrrrrrrr! pirate:

Just wanted to let everyone know that some details about the trick or treating have been updated on the website. Stop by and take a look!

I did see that WifeSwap or whatever it was last night.........the way some people live amazes me! Maybe we are all alot more "normal" than we thought. Makes me feel better about myself anyway.

We finally got return tickets home on November 4th! I thought we might not come home at all unless they went on sale. This morning Southwest went $57 each so we got them. I still can't get over we paid around $800 for 7 of us round trip........

Thanks to everyone who set up the TOT that is very nice that you put so much effort into it.

Have a great day..off to a soccer game,

Missy

I am pretty sure that we are on the early one also. I cannot imagine us booking the late one. I will probably have to bribe Kelly to swim to shore. She is a strong swimmer, she just does not like the "yucky" feeling of her skin after she gets in salt water. Should be lots of fun!

OMGoodness...we saw that last night also....DH swears they are hiring people as actors. He says "no one can be that strange in real life!" I think they are real people that are laying it on a bit "thick" for the cameras. I don't blame that woman for leaving the house. I'd be out of there also if fleas were jumping on me! GROSS!

Dave, I have to give Kelly credit for even agreeing to go on that excursion. You will NOT see me in the ocean! I have, and please DO NOT laugh at me, a paralyzing fear of sharks. I remember reading or seeing somewhere that if you are in the ocean deeper than your knees, sharks could be swimming around you. So, I will only be dipping my toes in the ocean.

DEANNA!!!! I just had that "discussion" with Miss Olivia. There will be NO SHARKS! I could seriously kill Craig for watching Jaws every time it's on (with the children...very nice). We are at the beach almost every day in the summer and if there is a story about a shark anywhere in the U.S. she thinks it's coming to get her. Sharks are usually afraid of people. They tend to be out at dawn and dusk. I had to explain to Liv that we would not do this excursion if it was a risk to her life. Ugh, please DO NOT mention your fear in front of her. I'll be all done :p (with her)

Wife Swap was a total freak show. I'm sorry if I am offending anyone who lives with "pirattitude". This is how she defended her "potty mouth" daughter: Mark Twain said, "Under certain circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer." Not that I completely disagree, that stupid ***** :lmao: KIDDING....

Missy I can't believe you got 7 people round trip for $800 either. That's very cool.

Anyone see that movie Deep Waters, where the scuba divers were left in the ocean? Talk about fear!!
I am actually going to face one of my fears while on Castaway Cay. I chose to do the parasailing to step out of my comfort zone and to face my uncomfort with heights. I never thought I had a fear of heights until vertigo kicked in at the Grand Canyon, inside a building, going up a flight of stairs...go figure. :confused3 I'm not afraid to go up high, I just don't like the feeling of how I may be coming down! So, if ya'll hear some screaming and you can't figure out where it's coming from...just look toward the sky :rolleyes1

You know Denna I was wondering the same thing...Heck I would have left after 30 seconds of being bitten by fleas...Ask Jen and Heather what a freak I am about my house...I would die if that was me..Honestly, it must be actors real people can not live like this..Did you see how when she got out of the shower she had cat hair on her clean feet come on......

I thought that was mosquitos. But they bite too! Actually I'm more concerned with jellyfish. Any of you vets ever have (or hear of) any issues with these guys down there?

OK, maybe they're not actors on Wifeswapnannyswitchpsychofamily. They've gotta get some coaching to make better TV. But I am frequently reminded that reality is stranger than fiction. And while Pirate family was pretty good, I still think the shreaking Satan lady was the best yet.

There was a girl that got stung by something at CC once when we were there. It was something that we were told to avoid (by the pier) and they didn't listen. We all swim and think nothing of it, always have, always will.

I keep telling my kids I am going to apply to be on WifeSwap and wouldn't we be embarrassed if it turned out we were the freaky family! pirate:

Sloopy...........yes mosquitoes too!! We have a 6:00 curfew mandated by the county because of Triple E and West Nile Virus. A local 9 year old boy recently lost his life after getting bit at his football practice. Scary stuff. We are looking forward to our first frost.

Does anyone remember the story in People magazine last year about the couple celebrating thier 10th wedding anniversary in the Bahamas when the man was attacked by a shark? It was early morning (6:00), he went for a swim alone and a shark dragged him out from the shore. He punched it and managed some how to get free ( and losing the lower half of his leg). Well, as some of you know we go to the Bahamas every year so I FREAKED out! Of course I researched sharks (can you say OCD) and I read a basic guideline is to not swim before or after sunset. I'm sure I'm adding to your fears D but an attack really is rare.

15 minutes until Nip/Tuck.....another show getting completely out of control BUT I'm guilty of watching anyway  !

ps...We did have some trouble around here this summer with Man-O-War....Nasty suckers

Missy, You are too funny...Wouldn't you be afraid to go into someone else's home and what you might find might make you want to leave asap......

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow...I will not be on the computer much tomorrow since my dad is having his surgery tomorrow for his prostrate cancer..Keep your fingers crossed for him please so that he will be ok to go on the cruise with us in a few weeks....Thanks,,,,

Hello everyone,

I am just trying to see if I can get a post done through the system. My company seems to block the posts.
