if the Oct 25th rocket launch gets pushed back to the 28th - will we have to deal with the traffic that a shuttle launch brings - or are the rocket launches not as big a draw???? :confused3
Unlike the Shuttle Launches ; Delta II Launches are not a Big Draw

If it does launch Thursday Oct 26th thru early Saturday Oct 28th;
I plan on going to Jetty Park to watch it. :3dglasses

Just FYI frrom a local....Rocket launches don't cause any traffic delays. I think because they are pretty often, we don't pay attention anymore...

I guess because the shuttle has people on it, makes it more interesting to watch.

AWOL,

That is soo cool about Jeff.... Sounds like a really nice guy....

I can not wait for next weeks Survivor.......

Happy Week-end Everyone! :cool1:

XLT-I was at Target today and noticed that they are selling Halloween colored solo cups. So, I was just wondering if you were sticking with the traditional red or if you are going to branch out into the Halloween stock. :confused3 Hey we haven't heard from Teacher Mom in awhile is her new class treating her right?? Send a hello :wave2:

Choc Marg: Took a peek at the magazine today and I thought the pictures of Jeff and his parents were great. Loved the stories.

Halloween colored cups......I like that idea.

Fran has a great class again this year. Good kids and parents. She just has a pretty crappy daily routine. She leaves for work at 7:00am, she leaves school at 3:30 and goes to get into car rider line to pick up Kelly at 4:00. They drive 45 minutes to gymnastics. They get home from gym at 9:00, she eats dinner and goes to bed. Sometimes she stays up to help Kelly finish homework if she doesn't finish in the car. On Saturdays we still do not get to sleep in because Kelly has gym from 9-1. Kelly is a level 8 so they take their practice pretty seriously.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

You might have to check out the new stock! I am sure that GDAC and AWOL will hunt you down no matter what color your solo cup is. GDAC was just saying last night that he thinks that he has found a way to attach a solo cup to the top of his baseball cap so that he can be spotted easy in the terminal. :rotfl2:

Wow, that is a busy schedule. I bet she is really looking forward to being on the ship. About a month to go.

Wow Dave and Fran!
How great that Kelly is at a level eight at only 11 years old. My sister used to compete at a level eight, but when she was 13 and 14. When she was 14 she had an injury that ended her gymnastics. She had college scouts looking at her. It was such a shame. She was able to compete nationally a few times. I remember it being a lot of practice. It seemed my Mom and her were always at the gym! This really will be a well needed vacation for all of you!

Well yaterday we took the kids to see everyone's Hero. Christopher and Dana Reeves were involved with the movie before they passed. It was the best Kid's movie we have seen in a while! We just loved it!

We have a birthday party this afternoon, so later tonight I will be sending out e-mails to confirm that I received your order for t-shirts and bracelets. We sure did get a lot of orders!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

WOw Dave tell Fran hello and to think the cruise is inthe near future......

GOod luck to Kelly!!!!!!!!

Crash Safe trip we are all soo jealous!!! The 29th seems soooo far away....
We still would have loved ot have you hear hogging up the real estate..LOL.....

How funny... "Crash .... Safe"! Taken by itself it would give me pause for consideration.... :lmao:

We're just about to check ut of the hotel... Alicia is gettin' ready and the kids are still groggy even though it's 11:12AM here. I guess there will be a minimal chance for upgrade since we're gettin' out so late. But that's OK... we don't NEED to upgrade.

So - we'll have a report on what the Wonder is like in about 12-14 days. On returning we usually take a few days lke beached whales to sort of recover. And I'll maybe stasrt posting a little. Than I'll have a friendly trip report sans anything that might detract from a 1st time DCL experience.

Gotta run now... Alicia just gave a 2 minute warning before we leave the room!

Cheers! Have a great day folks!

Tom

I'm am so jealous of Captain Crash right now! I wish we were getting ready to board! Oh well, I guess it'll be here before we know it.

Awol and Choc Marg, Cody is ADORABLE, what a beautiful smile he has. That was so great of Jeff to send him the Survivor loot.

Yes, I am enjoying Survivor. I think it won't be such a big deal about the racial dividing in a few weeks. They divided the Women and Men on the last Survivor and I don't remember anyone thinking it was sexist. I guess if it turns into a race war People will just have to turn the channel on Thursday night and not watch it.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Well. the orders are all in!!!! I sent an e-mail to everyone that I received an order from. If you did not receive an e-mail from me and you sent me an order, please contact me via e-mail Stolteheather@yahoo.com or PM right away!

It looks like we will have a few extra bracelets, so if anyone else is interested, please let me know.

The bracelets should be in within two weeks and the t-shirts in 2-3 weeks. I will sort them and mail them out as early as I can.

As far as trick or treating is concearned, the sign ups have closed. We will have 38 children that will be trick or treating! :thumbsup2 Thanks to everyone who has signed up, and to everyone that has offered to hand out candy!

As Heather mentioned if anyone still wants bracelets we will be ordering some extras so just let us know..thanks

Hi guys! Can you help me? I need some advice please. I haven't done it yet but am planning on canceling the Anguilla Dolphin excursion. Although we are complete beach bums I feel like I should do something (besides the beaches) in one of the ports. The Golden Catamaran looks fun. I can't check the availability because it says I already have an excursion planned. I'm sure it's probably booked. Has anyone done this through Disney? Is it ok for kids 8/9? Any other suggestions? I would love to be reminded about what you are all doing. Thanks

Jen,
I haven't done the Golden Eagle Catamaran, but I've heard it's great. I WAS able to check availability on the disney web site, though. There was room for 4 in both the morning and the afternoon.

Chris,
Thank you so much for checking that for me. I guess I'll cancel the dolphin excursion and rebook this excursion. I've read great things and I think I've actually done this on a Royal Caribbean cruise when Cam was just a baby. If it's the same one it was a good time. Thanks again

I was just looking at the launch schedule for the STEREO launch, which is now scheduled for Oct 25 and got a giggle out of this:

Delayed from April 11,
May 26,
June 23,
July 22 and
July 30.
Delayed from Aug. 1 due to spacecraft fuel leak.
Delayed from Aug. 20 to perform leak check on rocket second stage.
Delayed from Aug. 31,
Sept. 18 and
Oct. 18 for continued analysis of second stage concerns.

Now, delays are fairly normal. But THAT many? I guess we shouldn't be holding our breath to see this one launch? :rotfl2:

Also an Oct 25 launch time of 5:20PM was reported today at http://www.flatoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/99999999/NEWS02/50119001/1007

We might have a better chance at having the NAVSTAR launch delayed into that timeframe ;) As long as they light a candle, I'll be happy!
