I'll keep my answer pretty simple (and near honsest) since I have so many valid choices. My answer is.... (drum roll, please)..... "ta da" .... :mickeybar

I believe anyone can respond to the NEXT Question with a little imagination.... :thumbsup2 C'mon Kristen... this ones' for you IF you're still awake.... otherwise lets have anyone step forward with a reply and Kristen can still sort of reply later if ya want to! :goodvibes

If you could "play" in any role or have any job on the Magic for a day during our cruise .... and that is ANY JOB... which job would you want to have for a day? And for part 2 of the question.. what sort of mischef and nonsense might you exercise in your role for a day?

And since you were so nice about the costume thing... I'll admit MY costume will be a 7 layer Anakin Jedi Knight outfit and Alicia will be in a Padme Battle damaged costume. The all white skin tight thing with the sleeve and mid tummy section torn off with rips on back by the wild cat monster in the arena. The kids do not as yet have Halloween costumes but I want to acquire little Jedi knight outits for them. My spouse has been a good sport about the outfit I got her... but she won't let me bring the light saber I bought since it's a little pricey and almost impossile to travel with... sob! :guilty: So I'll have to settle for a plastic toy light saber she bought for me. She leaves it out where I can see it everyday which is her way of saying it's gonna be her way or the "highway".... I find heart warming amusement in the most mundane things she does! :darth:

oh neat,.My DH will enjoy those costumes and wishes we were characters from his favorite movie as well....He would love for the kids to dress up as sw characters...tooo....
Can not wait to see the costumes...Your wife is a good sport for doing this...

How early do you start packing?
('cause I'm at 75 days for my May cruise.........and I'm ready to pull out those suitcases!

I usually start packing for trips about a week in a half ahead of time......for this one maybe two...

OK... I just noticed that Kristen is not on line now... so how about I volunteer a question...

....."what is the BEST tip or idea you picked up on the DIS for consideration or use on the cruise?"

Lift up the bed and keep your suitcases underneath it! Saves a lot of space.

NEXT QUESTION........(off cruising topic, but a "get to know you" ?)

What do you and your significant other do for a living?

I am a tutor/secretary at the local high school and a full time graduate student.............DH is a firefighter/paramedic.

Have a great Sunday.

Welll my answer on foods is two fold... in addition to my pleasure from :mickeybar consumption... I will have to say I do like the lobster tails even though they are the warm water variety and my spouse always likes the escargo (misspelled?).

AND for best family trip... well... that's tough... but I'd have to say it's a two way pull between our Paris visits and the DCL cruises. We get a lot of fun from the Paris escapades while the kids weigh in heavily with Disney. So ....

My next question before we leave to attend a birthday party.... :stir: What is the craziest wacky trip you've ever undertaken? And by that I mean a trip that was a little out of the norm and yet memorable for either its' merit or notariety! :badpc:

And with that I bid you all a pleasant afternoon/evening... we'll be back late tonight to lurk a little more...

My favorite tip is taking a day bag with bathing suits. We are normally the first ones in the adult pool. If you have kids this is a MUST. You will have Mickey's pool for a few hours with very few people in it.Your bags won't arrive to your room for a few hours.

Fran- A Miami Vice is half Pina Colada half Strawberry Daquiri. Very Good.

Teri

OK Terri,
Think it is your turn for the question this could be the last one of the weekend unlesss we are going to keep it going for the week as well...

Then call me "Crocket" and I'm all over it...................

(For those of you too young to remember..........Crocket and Tubbs were 2 vice cops from the TV show Miami Vice.............very popular in the 80's.. ........... Some of US were even married back then!)

Kristin,
Failure to Launch was a very good date movie......you and dh should go see it if you could get your mom to stay with the girls. Very funny!

What Time do you usually arrive at the DCL Terminal?

Well.... we are all over the map on this one ... but it is metter to say we are never among the first to board (1st 2 hours) and always well ahead of final embarkation sounds. SO... I'd say it's about 2-4PM. We usually have about 1-2 hours before the life boat drill.

And in the spirit of continuing the general fun.... here's another question :

So... what is your all time favorite Disney movie?....

And in response to the get to know question posed by MisyOH8 I'll volunteer that I run a marketing distribution company (insurance IMO for Kristan's husband's reference) and my spouse is an Oncology Rep.

Cheers!

10:30 a.m. We like to be first in line. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

To use a clear plastic hanging shoe holder to keep us organized and our stateroom neater. Before we started using one we would spend forever looking for our KTTW cards, hair brushes, hair clips, sun screen, landyards, etc. But no more, now everything can be found in its own little pocket hanging on the bathroom door.

So... what is your all time favorite Disney movie?....

That's a hard one since there are so many great movies but, I'll go with "101 Dalmations".

My question is: If you're not a Florida resident when are you planning on arriving for this trip. Days before, maybe visit the parks? One day before and staying somewhere near the port, if so where? Or morning of the cruise?

Hi Teri :wave2:

Ginger- WE should be in line around the same time. WE also get to the Terminal at 10:30. I think we beat you there last time. :teeth:

So... what is your all time favorite Disney movie?.... Mine is "Beauty And The Beast"

We plan on leaving South Carolina Thursday when Rick gets off work at 3:00. WE Plan on spending Thursday and Friday night at a Disney Resort. We plan to spend Saturday night at The Raddison In Cocoa Beach. I still have to make reservations, so our plans are not definate as of now.

It is a good thing that Ginger asked the question of when and where we were spending our night before the cruise. I ASSUMED the Magic left on Sunday, I guess too many different cruises have messed me up. We may have Missed the boat  :boat: Thank you :thanks: Ginger for sending me a private message!!! I guess this will alter our plans.

We will now spend Friday night at the Raddison!!!

Teri

OK Teri...

... in the nobel fun loving spirit we're encouraging here... I must remind you (Teri) that it is now YOUR turn to post a question following your answer to the last question. :goodvibes

Yeah, yeah.. yeah... I kno I said it wuz fer da weekend... but it also is elgible for continuation if anyone steps forward to answer the last question and post another of their own! Besides... until someone volunteers another fun diversion - why not toss in a few fun Q & As to share? LOOK how it's helped out community already in that Terri will be adusting their travel plans NOW to make the boat rather then later when time is perhaps shorter. AND... there might have been a very slight possibility that the ship might have been missed.. though I tend to believe you would have discovered the correct embarkation date BEFORE the sailing... :confused3

So... games like this can be beneficial and at the same time mildly (or extremely) entertaining!

I get to share credit for saving the travel plans for you... and as such the customary terms and currency for compensation is ONE Mickey Ice Cream bar (with sprinkles for really valuable tips)! Of course, the bars are free on the ship... and I believe Kritter/Kristen is in debt to me for 2 bars now. So at this rate I am sure to be super saturated with Mic-Bar chocolate and I-cream by mid cruise. IE... I may live to regret starting this wacky line of "favor counting"! If that's what it can be called!

LOL!

Hope everyone's monday is as pleasant as it is here in our neck of the woods!

TTFN!
