DH (XLT 800) is busy with the tampa Bay game on TV, so I'm just killing time on the computer tonight.

We've had great weather here this week...........a little chilly for me in the morning......but the afternoons are great.

Hi Fran! Is the double scoop cruise a two time trip to Castaway Cay? When are you going? I'm sure it's warmer In Florida then here in MA. We had a small snow storm yesterday!

Yes, my kids think we're going to Washington DC. We decided to tell them that because it truely is a trip we've been wanting to take, and we knew they would fall for it. I think they'd enjoy a trip to DC, but they haven't mentioned anything about it. Whereas, if they knew where we were really going, they'd be talking about it everyday! We have not told anyone in our families about the cruise either. My parents, sister, brother, MIL, etc....all think we are going to DC! We figured there would be no chance of someone slipping if they didn't know! We will probably wait until days beforehand to tell all of them the truth. That would be really funny to let DS think we boarded the wrong plane! He'd panic, I'm sure. We wouldn't let him suffer too long, though. I would really like to get their reaction on film. I'm usually not good at keeping secrets either, so this is a real stretch for me! This board is actually helping a lot....since I can talk to all of you about the cruise!

I'm glad you have us!! It's kinda fun to have such a big secret that your family is going to LOVE. I was reading on the main DCL board a woman upgraded from a category 6(I think) to a 3. THEN she decided to check if the Walt suite was available and so have it, it was. Now she is not tellling any of her family until they get on the ship! That would be the ultimate in pampering.

YES!

We are at CC the first day and the last day of the cruise. We skip Key West.....which we could care less about. Last October, XLT and I got off ONLY to have a drink at Sloppy Joe's and to get Key Lime Pie from the Blonde Giraffe. The kids never left the ship. So, I figure, what a great way to start a cruise.............a day at CC!!!!!

I completely agree with the Key West comment. I really have no interest in returning. I do love CC though! Are you all reading the live threads this week? I can't wait to hear what they are doing tonight.

Kristin-I'm telling you the show is playing with us. He will end up with Meredith. It may take a while but he will.
I met with the principal. They say they are taking all the neccessay steps to fix the situation. Although, I wasn't fully satisfied with the answeres I got. I'm going to sit back through December and if the situation doesn't improve I'll go to the next level.. I was promised it will improve. Time will tell.

I was just reading Beanos live thread. He has posted pictures and is giving a ton of good info. However, it sounds like over 1/2 the ship is or was ill. The waves are 30ft tall!!! YIKES

Great. Today is another story, everyone is very tired and on a sugar high. Bought Revenge of the Sith going to watch it at 6:00. Try to calm them down. How was your day?

HI ALL,

HAd the most amazing day went and saw the LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY show in New York City.......WE took the train in my mom in and it was sooooooooo fun....Regis and Kelly both are so nice and really pleasant they talked to us during the commercials and after the show we got regis to autograph his christmas cd for us....I will never believe anything bad about anything that it printed about them every again..they are sooo personable... and kind to complete strangers...I want to go back again,,,,I loved it and it was soo fun and my mom loved it too..we were even on tv three times..they had great guests on tooo billy crystal and mike wallace from 60 minutes....

Halloween was great..I am soo tired I got up at 3:00 am to go to the show since it is live....

Bruce is planning on watching the star wars movie tonight....I think it is too scarey for the kids...

I am hoping that he does end up with merideth Jen it would be ashame she is nicer than his wife....

Kritter.....I'm so sad I missed the show yesterday. I do watch them every so often, but missed it yesterday because I was taking down Halloween decorations all morning. I really wanted to see the show that you were going to. I totally forgot it was yesterday! I like Kelly Ripa a lot also. I was rooting for her to get the job when they were trying out different hosts to replace Kathi Lee. I've liked Kelly ever since she first showed up in Pine Valley as Haley (on All My Children). I don't watch that show anymore, but I did back then. Glad you had a great time!

WOW four trees that is a lot...I have really scaled back on what I put up...It is always fun to put it up but then such work to put it all back...I like to put up all of my stuff the day after thanksgiving....
I can not stand it that it is getting dark so early here now..Makes the night seem soooooo much longer.....

buckifan- The kids look so good! Napolean Dynamite too funny! Must have been a huge hit. Your daughter is beautiful. 4 trees!? Oh my goodness. I'm lucky I get one up. We usually put it up the first weekend in December. I really am excited. I ordered Felicity and Elizabeth yesterday. I also got the pink paisly pj's for doll and Olivia. She wants all of Marisols new stuff. I think my mil is going to get it. Have you guys heard of the fly pen? If so what do you know? It's on Liv's list. I think I'm going to get her a digital camera (a cheaper one) and all the stuff for kids to scrapbook. I'm also looking at Karaoke machines. She wants that knitting machine.. All of a sudden (all the catalogs arrived) her list is growing awfully big! Because she's almost nine her presents are pricey. She doesn't get the concept of money very well. I tried to "explain" to them that Santa has lots of presents he needs to bring to Katrina victims this year so they may not get as many presents as years previous. Cam wants the new $400 x box. They will expect at the very least 10 gifts. I could go crazy but I'd be spending over 2k on them, and I refuse to do that. It was so much easier when they were little!!

Sorry with halloween and all it was hard to remember who I told and who i did not..

I am finding it hard this year to knwo what to get my kids last few years I have gone way overboard and now I am stuck this year on what to buy them....Do not really know sounds like you have it all set and ready to get want you want....Usually I have everything most of the way bought now and I have to really get going this year.....
I need ideas for Dh...

I'm having a tough time with gift ideas also. Although, I was very proud of myself for coming up with a GREAT idea that will take care of my parents, mil, bil, and sil. We are getting them Broadway series gift certificates! They can choose whatever show they want to use them on. They will all LOVE it! So, that takes care of a large chunk of my buying. Still have grandma, sister, bil, brother & girfriend, sil & partner, 2 nephews, niece, and of course MY kids! The other adults wouldn't enjoy a Broadway show as much, so I have to think of something else for them. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Kritter- haven't checked yet for cat 3. I have no ideas for dh (in my case xdh he he). I always find cool things when I'm shopping. Usually do something good from sharper image and clothes of course. I also try to find different things.....surprise stuff. Last year I got him satellite radio for his car. NEVER OPENED IT!! That was $200 alone. I'm sure once you look you'll find a million things for the girls. Disney stuff alone is great when they are little. I used to do a ton of stocking stuff from there. Do you have a store near you? You could always come visit and we could go to the one near me.

buckifan- Awesome idea for Christmas presents. I love it. I actually did something similiar for my mil in July for her birthday. We gave her a ticket to White Christmas and out to dinner. The show is at the Wang center in Boston. Beautiful and the dining selections are amazing. I can't wait!! December 9th. Which camera did you get for Drew? Does it have a memory stick? I have an H P photo printer that I love. I'd like her to be able to use it as well. Clearly I don't know how to use my computer for anything or I would have posted a million pics! I am actually going to ask for the new Canon Power shot G6 for Xmas. I have a new digital from a year ago it's a new Kodak and was pricey but I don't love it.
About the pen, it's $100.00. They have them right now at Walmart. I'm going to start a layaway tomorrow.
Ideas for everyone else.............it looks like you have a lot of couples gifts. I love getting couples a great movie or game ( The new Name that Tune 80's edition DVD, looks so cool) with a popcorn bowl and popcorn maker (Crate and Barrel have the best stuff). Sometimes I add stuff like Snowcaps and Milkduds. I sometimes add a cozy blanket. All things for a fun night in. I've also done all the things for an ice cream sundea party. Again Crate and Barrel has awesome stuff. I told you all about the popcorn from Dale and Thomas. So good. Check it out on line. I have other ideas too let me know if you need more! Just think about a persons favorite thing and taylor a basket or gift around that. Got to run to dancing and karate
