Not sure where else I should post this...
I'm lacking ideas for our costumes. And I know it's something I need to start thinking about now, especially if I'm going to attempt to make something!

It'll be me (F35) and my 2 boys (8 and 6 when we go), and I'm 95% my mom will also be coming with us. I wanted to do a "group" costume. But I'm just blanking on ideas. :confused3 Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Do u want to do specifically Disney themed costumes? If so, pick a couple of your favorite movies and start thinking outside the box... You don't have to be exact characters. For Example...Finding Nemo.... You could have a dentist, Darla, Nemo and even just a sea anemone. Or water, lol. Brainstorming this way can help you come up with more creative ideas... Plus it's easier to keep the cost of costumes down because they don't have to be so exact. I think it's fun for a family to jump off from what they really love and make it work from there. What is ur family's fave Disney movie? ;)

A friend and her family went as T-birds and Pink Ladies from Grease. Pretty easy costumes!

Toy Story -- Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bo Peep

Up -- Russell, Carl, Kevin the Bird, Dug

Wizard of Oz -- Dorothy, Glenda, Tin Man, Lion, or Scarecrow

pirates

cowboys/cowgirls -- frontierland style

safari trekkers -- khaki garb with pith helmets

3 of you go as dalmatians and either you or your mom go as cruella

you could do a villains group -- each picks their own favorite villain and dresses up like him/her

one I saw that was hilarious is most of the family were construction workers with vests and hard hats and stop signs but one of the kids was a giant traffic cone.

Minions from despicable me

Fab 5 costumes -- Minnie, Mickey, Donald and Daisy -- you could sub in Goofy or Pluto if preferred

Anything from the Muppets or Star Wars.

Snow White, the Queen, and 2 dwarves.

If you might go non-Disney, choose an era (like all 80's punk or 60's hippie) or a general theme like circus, zoo animals, the four seasons, pajama party, Christmas or holidays - something everyone will fit into in some way and you'll be less worried about being the perfect match for a character, like a previous poster wrote.
