We'll be at Aulani in a week's time and were really hoping to see the Disney characters in their Hawaiian outfits. I've seen some promos recently showing them in Halloween outfits (which seem to be pretty much the same ones as at the theme parks, unfortunately ... :() and have gotten a little worried that we won't see them in their Hawaiian outfits at all! Really wanted to see Mickey in a Hawaiian shirt. Can anyone who's been to Aulani during Halloween time please confirm? Note that we do also have reservations for Makahiki character dining. Thanks!

I was there last week (10/2), and I saw some characters were wearing their Halloween costumes. Daisy is a fairy, Donald is a pumpkin. Pluto has a spiderweb collar. Stitch has mostly the same outfit as his normal Hawaiian one, but a cool fall leaf lei. ShellieMay and Duffy are in the most adorable cowgirl/cowboy costumes. I don't believe Olu Mel has a costume. (as you can guess I am a huge character person :D)

I recently saw on instagram that Minnie and Mickey are in cute new costumes for Halloween this year in Aulani, but haven't seen this in person, so I am not 100% sure about this.

However, if you have Makahiki booked for the character breakfast, you might be able to still see Mickey in his Hawaiian gear. I am not sure what he wears, since I didn't do the character breakfast after the Halloween switch, but it is possible he stays in his Hawaiian shirt!
