Halloween Celebrations - is it worth it?

Hey guys,

Are the Halloween Celebrations/Decorations at Disneyland California really worth it? And when are they normally set up?

I am asking because I planned my trip on the 22th of September and I am just missing it by 4 days! My hotel is booked in Anaheim.

Should I shift my plans around just to accomodate the decorations? I can arrange to go to DL on a later date, on the 4th of October, I will be staying at Venice Beach then and I am just worried about the inconvinience as I am not driving.

Any advice?

I love Halloween at DLR. It is almost my favorite time of year, right behind the winter holiday season, and under most circumstances I would say that you would be crazy not to switch your dates if you could do so without financial plenty.

HOWEVER, I would not recommend switching your trip to the weekend of Oct. 4th. Between the crowds that the increasingly popular Halloween celebration draws into Anaheim, paired with the size of the annual Gay Days gathering at DLR that weekend AND the fact that DL is closing 7 hours early on Oct. 5th to accomodate Miley Cyrus's Sweet Sixteen, DLR is going to be complete chaos that weekend.

Enjoy your trip as planned, and hopefully you can make a return visit next fall to take in the holiday festivities!

Thanks! I live in Singapore so I would have never known about any of those events! I will stick to my current plan.
