Ok, so lets be honest here.......I would love to be at WDW and Universal for Halloween but can't be!! So, was thinking of taking my son (10 years) to Alton Towers for one of the Halloween events. Would love to hear from anyone who has been, what was it like? And any photos?!

DH and I used to go every year before we had the girls so I'm talking ten or so years ago. Back then they used to have a stage and fireworks on the large green at the front of the park. We loved it, even back then the fireworks were quite impressive.

I remember going one year and yes they had the stage and a big fireworks display, I was thinking about going thus year too as DD asked me yesterday why we haven't been to Alton Towers this year.

We have been and have to say we were very impressed next to wdw its the best fireworks ive ever seen.

If you get there after a certain time (used to be 4pm) its cheaper park admission too.Sorry no photos x x

We went a couple of years ago and the fireworks were really good, the whole family enjoyed them.

last year we had Merlin Annual Passes (Thank you Mr Tesco!) and so went to Alton Towers quite a bit.

We tried to go on Halloween last year ... we got to the roundabout where you leave the A50 to head down the country lanes and the queue started there ... so I'd just add the warning that if you want to go ON Halloween get there very very early!!!
