Halloween Activities...

Just wondered if anyone has stayed at a WDW resort (SSR particularly) at Halloween. I just took a look on portorleans.org and they have the recreation and activities sheet for this month and it says there are a bunch of activities on Halloween night around the resort. Just curious if SSR will have anything going on and if it's something that happens at all resorts.

Not at SSR but CSR and Beach Club on Halloween.

CSR a few years ago and there was a cast member pumpkin design competition which guests voted for and lots of activities by the pool for the kids.

Beach club in 2012 and there was a little trick or treating stall plus activities (design a pumpkin - the felt kind and a Halloween necklace for the kids to make) all free of charge and all at dusk. During the day there were also lots of activities by the pool - maybe hourly. Some of these were at an extra cost though. DD definitely made a t shirt and that cost $10.

Awesome! Thank you! I suspected there would be. I know they used to have trick or treating at DTD but they stopped it I think. We're planning on meeting up with a new friend in Winter Park to go actual trick or treating and we have the halloween party booked too, but it would be nice to do some lower key stuff around the resort.

that contest was still on in 2012.
We saw CM pumpkins at POP, AoA, POR & POFQ

Old Key West had lots going on last year i'm sure SSR will be the same.

There were lots of kids craft activities and then at night 5-6 pm from memory there was trick or treating which was really well done - the kids had to do a trick and get treats eg do a dance, flip plastic frogs into a bucket, run around cones etc. At the end they met donald and daisy.

There was stuff on all week but the trick or treating was just on 31st itself.
