We are off site at VDE this time too.
disney prices where far to high for us a girl I talk to on trip adviser is going that week and was there that week last year shed said it was busy but not to busy about 30 mins wait fir everything.
This is what she has told me so not my own experience.
She also said she prefer it a bit busy as it adds to the atmosphere.
See you there :)

Ohthat sounds reassurring, thanks. Maybe nearer the time we uuld arrange a wee meet :)

ah are you going fo hour 40th?? Mine is next year and hoping to celebrate there too :)
will pop over to read your ptr, i always have a general plan in my head but never get round to putting it down 'on paper' :goodvibes

Considering an offsite visit too!! October half term is the busiest time we've been. Busier than Feb half term or August bank holiday. Studios particularly had huge queues, needed good use of EMH and Fastpass. Great atmosphere though :)

If your going back it couldn't of been that bad ??
Excited :goodvibes

October and Halloween were always our favourite time to go to DLP, but we were always lucky in that the Dutch school hols fell 1 week before the french one did. However since last year that has changed and the difference is massive!

The queues were HUGE everywhere - I am talking 1 hour plus for buzz, 50 mins for pirates, 2 hours for BTM and Crush etc. We were staying in the Castle Club and so had the VIp fastpass but even with this it was pretty miserable. A few times in my opinion it got even dangerous - for instance after the parade when lots of people were trying to move through the same area at once, I nearly got trampled on :( I am really not a panicy person but we were noes to head with the people in front and behind and being quite short (only 5 foot 1) I was getting quite desperate to get out of the crowd.

After last year we have said no more Halloween trips during french half term for us :(

On the plus side, the parks look fab at Halloween, the new parade is brill and we have always been blessed with great weather.
Hope I have not freaked you out but I think it is better to prepared and to know what to expect then to expect a quiet park and be shocked at how busy it is!

Do the French have the same half term as us ?
We are booked now anyway if it's that bad we will maybe just do our meal plan and have to use our fast pass to the max we been lots of time before so not missing that much.
As long as I get on ratatouille I will be happy will hire buggys for the boys so the are safe.

This would have been the first trip where I I wasn't going to bother with a buggy for dd but maybe I should re think that, it would help to when it's just myself to carry bag etc. Best to be prepared, thanks for the input

French school holidays run from 18th October to 3rd November this year.

Ooh, we too will be there that week, can't wait, even more so that DGF doesn't know about it yet (and wont until the day before we leave).

DLPDaft - which site do you use to find the French School Holiday dates? Everything I've seen previously is split into 'Zones' which confuses me somewhat...!

Fab outfit
We have big dressing up plans for our trip too.
We can plan together :goodvibes
