I'm not too worried about booking stuff...I really think they'll be enough space for palo dinner...I'm trying to make this trip as easy breezy as possible...

but I am kind of miffed? Annual passholders get $74 a room for value resorts until 10/1/11..really...why couldn't it have gone to 11/1/11? so as of now I'm still going to stay in some motel just cuz of cost..but if I can get a nice deal on a value I will stay on site!!

I just found out the Blonde Giraffe has closed in Key West. Now where do I get my frozen chocolate covered Key Lime Pie on a stick? Aaarrgghh!

No major plans here - the grandpup is coming for a play date while his parents go up to take a wine tour with some friends. That sort of negates much cleaning today but guess I can get stuff picked up and the laundry done and run the vac tomorrow. I bought a new vac by the way - an Oreck. Much easier to get around with but I have not had it long enough to say exactly what I think yet.

We got a new computer yesterday afternoon, so most of weekend will be spent setting it up, moving stuff from old computer and of course playing! I am on new computer now, while old computer is moving files to a flash drive. Sure hope getting the files (mostly Itunes) on to this computer goes smoothly.


Hoping the days of bad computer are behind us LOL


Next weekend we make our Palo reservations
Think we are doing Brunch on Sunday and Dinner on Thursday. Same as we did last year and it worked out well.

Well, good old Delta has done it again - first our return flights changed (both of them), then our outbound flights changed and now our return flight has changed yet again! We now have a 40 minute layover it Detroit - to get off a 757, change terminals and board the puddle jumper to Grand Rapids. Beyond stupid - and as a consumer I have no rights what so ever! At this point I could book nonstops on Airtran out of Grand Rapids for what I paid of Delta to jerk us around. Wears me out. I have more airfare to book for trips next year and I really think I am done trying with Delta.

How are you flights going out there?? I havent heard anything from United, so I am hoping nothing changes, only maybe a little earlier flight on my outbound flight....that would be good news...

It turned out to be a beautiful day today, didnt do too much, just trimed up some bushes...and thats really about all we did today, I did take a ride to viist my dad in Chicago and then stoped by the neighborhood where I grew up, they were having a block party...talked with the people that now own the house that I grew up in....all in all a very nice day.

Replacing the roof on the sunroom today. Wow taking longer than expected because the people who put it up did not secure it to the house. So we had to replace 1 board at a time otherwise the hole room moved. Finishing it up tomorrow.

Thanks for posting that Delta changed your flight I will be going to their site to chech our flights.

Hey everyone! Sorry, it has been so long since I posted here. Lots going on with us...
We are still hoping to go on the cruise, but we hit some financial issues...I am platinum but since my cruise is not paid off we cant even think of starting to book or plan. Just hoping to get it paid off in time! But we are blessed and keep praying about it.
Not sure if I posted it here, but our youngest son was in the hospital in May and it was a very scary time for us. We had to make some life changes, including me leaving my job and now we are a one income family...so things are changing. But it is better that I am home more now....
I am so excited for this cruise and we are set on going! So I hope to be on the DIS more and keep up the pixie dust for us! I will try to catch up on all the posts! LOL!

Airtran now has one flight a day that is nonstop from Grand Rapids to MCO but I don't do well waiting to book flights - kicking self in the behind because I didn't wait. Delta's pricing is generally better than the others that fly from GRR. I would suggest going to United's website and looking at your flights - we flew them home from LAX in January and there was a change that they neglected to tell us about - I wasn't happy but it was only a seating issue.

Good luck on your sunroom project. These projects are never easy as your first think they will be.....

Seating issues I can handle, except we paid for strech seating and we better not have any issues with that....

Been thinking of pulling luggage out and seeing what we will need to take...Im hoping on check in since United is charging 25 for the first and 35 for the second so if I can get most of my stuff in the one huge case, then I can get the rest on 2 carry ons so I would like to do a dry run and see how it goes

Just gave my dog a bath...he normally only gets one once sometimes twice a year. We have a Doberman and we just wash him on the deck. He is never happy about his bath's but he deals with it very well.

Did you upgrade your seats for the extra leg room? We did that on our January flight and they changed the plane to a 757 (3 rows each side) from the 2-3-2 (or however many seats were in the middle) and I ended up with a window seat - hated it. While my legs had room, there was no hip room at all, I was hot and miserable most of the way home. But, whatever it was we got, included 2 bags each. That was a good thing - and I upgraded our flights to first on the way to Florida so we had free bags then as well.

This time I will have to pay for 3 bags I am guessing but 2 for sure. I did start a list and will try and cut down on my 'day' clothes as that is what I always seem to over pack on. I don't want to do laundry on the cruise although I expect to before we leave WDW so that what we wear there is clean. Going to Palo one night helps as well as something will be worn twice.

Well, DS and DDil are bring dinner over this evening. Not so sure what we are having but I told them no oven (as I have no air) so I am having something on the grill. I can manage to make mashed potatoes and throw an obligatory green veggie on the table without much effort, stress or heat generation.
