Is it too early to plan? We have a new addition to our family...a surprise but a welcome one! Three month old baby boy...we had been planning a 2005 Halloween trip with DDs who are 16 and 13. Before DS was born...we thought we would leave him with family...now that he is here we can't imagine going to see Mickey without him!!! Has anyone taken a 2 year old to MNSSHP? Was it worth it? Do you take your own stroller or rent one? My DD were 5 and 8 the first time we went so WDW and an toddler are new to us!!!!

I have already started planning our Oct 2005 trip! LOL! some kind of sickness, it is!! Our youngest was 5 on our first trip, so can't give advice about the little one. But I always see folks with little guys - hopefully he'll fit into an umbrella stroller. I always feel bad for moms and dads trying to get into the busses with those huge strollers. Must be exhausting!

If you don't bring him - you will hear this for the rest of your life! - "Remember the time you guys went to Disney, and left me behind?!?!?!"

I, too, am already planning a trip that far away! DD will be almost three at the time. I was planning on a September 2005 trip, but am now thinking of moving it to the last week of Sept/first week of Oct to catch MNSSHP. Others here on the boards have convinced me that a child that age would have a blast!

DD was 16 months when we went earlier this month and she just loved everything. We took an umbrella stroller (but one with a canopy/roof) with us and it worked out just fine. It's lightweight and folds up nicely for the train, monorail, and bus rides.

Next trip will be just DD and I. My boys had a good time but don't want to go next time! Ditto for DH!  :faint:

DD and I will (hopefully) have a great time without them!

We went to MNSSHP in October and my son had turned 2 in August. He loved it, esp. trick or treating! He didn't eat much of the candy, just loved getting it I guess. He liked looking at all of the people dressed up, as well as the costumes the characters had on.

The parades are different than the day time and the park is transformed into Halloween in a matter of hours. It's amazing what they do in a short time. He got a little scared when Cruella came over to us during the parade, we were dressed as dalmations and she wanted to take us with her!!

The other good thing about going is that at that time of year, the park closes early. It was great to see the park lit up and go on the rides in the dark.

Enjoy your trip planning!
