I'm getting REALLY annoyed with Hallmark's new multi-movie format. I know it's their way of hooking a viewer into watching their channel more often. I just prefer standalone movies. This recent "Holidazed" was too drawn out. (Although, it was great to see Virginia Madsen.)

I kinda agree. It seems like most of the new movies have been in this format for a couple of months. I liked it at first, but it's repeated enough now that I'd like it to end. :) However, I guess Providence Falls will be another series as well for August.

I never got into the Holidazed series. I caught a couple episodes of Christmas at Sea, which were fun to watch.

Yes, Providence Falls is another three parter. This must be the new Hallmark CEO's idea to do all these series.

It starts with Providence Falls: Chance of a Lifetime on tonight at 8pm ET/PT, 7CT.

Starring: Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby and Evan Roderick.

This is apparently based on a three part book series that's available on Amazon.

Hope that means this series is more in-depth than the usual stuff.

Description:
In one century she loved him madly, and in another she wants nothing to do with him
In 1844 Ireland, Liam O’Connor, a rogue and a thief, fell madly in love with a squire’s daughter and unwittingly altered the future. Shy and naive Cora McLeod thought Liam was the answer to her prayers. But the angels disagreed and they’ve been waiting for the right moment in time to step in.
Now Liam finds himself reunited with his beloved Cora in Providence Falls, North Carolina. The angels have given Liam a task. He must make sure Cora falls in love with another man—the one she was supposed to marry before Liam interfered. But this Cora is very different from the innocent girl who fell for Liam in the past. She’s a cop and has a confidence and independence he wasn’t expecting. She doesn’t remember Liam or their past lives, nor is she impressed with his attempts to guide her in any way.
Liam wants Cora for himself, but with his soul hanging in the balance, he must choose between a stolen moment in time or an eternity of damnation.

I cannot wait for Countdown to Christmas! Looking more closely, I think this is the 2024 schedule, however. The dates and days don't match (Oct 18th is a Saturday this year whereas above it says Friday) and also some of the movies above premiered last year so wouldn't be new this year (e.g., Hannukah on the Rocks, Chiefs Love Story, Three Wiser Men and a Boy). Side note I liked all of these especially the first so well worth watching and I'll watch again.

I found this unofficial list tracking everything that has been announced so far but doesn't seem like Hallmark has published their official printable guide yet. Should be soon though!

My apologies. I've removed the incorrect information.

Thank you for sharing the unofficial list.

@Kennywood & @2xcited2sleep : Thank you BOTH for keeping an eye out for the Countdown to Christmas list. 🎄🥰

My work schedule changed a while back and my "reminders" have been appalling. Some have been posted almost when the movie starts, or the next day as a "would have been a reminder had it been posted on time." :headache: When I do remember to post early, it's on Tuesday, when I have a day off, instead of Thursday or Friday when I think that would be a reminder.

Thanks for this link, I found my favorite Hallmark source is back and up and running: SleepyKittyPaw. She retired from posting last year. She had THE most comprehensive lists for every upcoming Christmas movie. But, she wanted her time and life back as her blog took over her life. I had a feeling that all that extra time on her hands would be too much. :lmao:So, she's somewhat back and posting about other genres of movies too, but on another social media format, similar to Instagram in style, which may be better.

Apparently, you guys aren't the only ones. According to SleepyKittyPaw:

Ho! Ho! Holiday Viewing!‬ ‪@sleepykittypaw.bsky.social‬
PROVIDENCE FALLS: CHANCE OF A LIFETIME got off to dreadful start on Hallmark Channel Saturday night with lowest ratings of 2025 at just 695k live viewers. It was terrible night for cable overall. Even with this meagre number, Hallmark still most-watched entertainment show (non-news/sports) on cable

That's too bad. It wasn't a bad movie at all. Give me an Irish accent and I'm hooked anyway. :p (Kinda funny because the lead actor is Australian!) Anyway, the story hooked me so I'll be watching part 2 tomorrow night. I'm also intrigued as to when Henry Cavill's brother (Charles) shows up. I think he plays one of the characters back in time but I'm not sure he's been shown yet. I do like having some new actors, although Brendan Penny is somewhere in Providence Falls according to the cast list.

We'll see how I feel after watching another two hours this weekend and still won't know how it all ends. :teeth:
