Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

Reminder:

Sunday:

Ghosts of Christmas Always is on at 8pm ET on the Hallmark Channel.
Re-airs: Fri 11/4 at 10:01pm ET
Tues 11/8 at 8pm ET
Sat 11/12 at 4pm ET

Starring: Kim Matula, Ian Harding, Beth Leavel, Lori Tan Chinn and Reginald VelJohnson.

Description: Ghosts of Christmas Always is inspired by on Dicken's A Christmas Carol. Katherine works for the Department of Restoring Christmas Spirit as a Ghost of Christmas Present. This year, Katherine and her co-workers, the Ghost of Christmas Past (Lori Tan Chinn) and the Ghost of Christmas Future (Die Hard’s Reginald VelJohnson), are sent to earth to help a man named Peter (Ian Harding).

But Peter isn’t lacking in the holiday spirit, leaving Katherine and her colleagues wondering why they’ve been given this unusual assignment. It is more than just restoring Christmas spirit this year.

Kim Matula said that it was the story’s humor that first drew her to the project. “I read the script and the thing that stuck out to me most is that it was funny." she said. “So getting to do something that had a little bit of comedy in a Hallmark movie, I really wasn’t expecting to see that.”

Of course, Ghosts of Christmas Always isn’t just about the laughs. As it progresses, it also digs into “deeper heartfelt feelings.”

How was the new movie with Will Kemp last night? We were out but I may try to catch the replay today. It was bugging me trying to figure out the leading lady and then I finally remembered she was from Royal Pains which I adored.

I'm excited that my favorite silly Lifetime Christmas movie, Christmas A La Mode, is on today at 2pm.

I did catch the Jodie Sweetin/David O'Donnell movie and I wasn't impressed. I think I might've enjoyed it better with a different actress. It just felt weirdly incestual being that it was DJ's little sister. Yes, I know that's crazy since they aren't related! I will say though that the majority of the comments I read on Instagram agreed with me, lol. Also, the premise that the two characters were old hs sweethearts seemed a stretch because he appears much older than Jodie.

I gotta look back through the many movies coming and find any with Sam Page. I love him. With so many leaving Hallmark, there are many new faces that I don't know and seem like they may be trying to go with younger actors.

That is one I really liked on Lifetime too. :thumbsup2

Uh oh! Then Jodie's next movie will feel incestuous too.

:lmao:Next weekend, she kicks off the Lifetime Christmas movie season. Her leading man was in another of Candace's movies, called Christmas Town.

It was a movie where Candace went through the foster care system after her father had died. He left her a series of new letters to read each year as she grew up. She dumps the boyfriend who was never right for her and moves away. Only, on her train trip, she gets detoured and meets the male lead, Tim Rozon.

The only Hallmark movies Tim Rozon and David O'Donnell did were co-starring Candace. Kind of weird that Jodie's dogging Candace's leading men from both movies. :P

Well I tried to watch Noel next door and I wanted to smack the actor within 15 minutes so i couldn't finish watching it

:lmao: I wanted to smack the kid. I made it through the movie. It was okay. I liked that one of the leads was written with a disability. But, the dialogue at times was really lame. It was definitely a watch once and done for me.

Am Enjoying Ghosts of Christmas Always!

We Need a Little Christmas is a good one this year! Not as much romance focused which is nice

Thanks for the recommendations. These go to the top of my viewing list. :)

I did read that Lynn Whitfield, who plays the neighbor in We Need a Little Christmas is excellent, and really made the movie. :thumbsup2

The best part of We Need a Little Christmas that I have so far seen is Irene! She is so kind. I also really loved the mail lady. I've definitely fast forwarded some of the movie and haven't even seen probably more than 45 minutes. Will finish it later today and share back.

I am going to skip this one. I watched about 10 minutes and had to stop because I just cannot stand Erica Durance. I realize this is a personal problem 😂

I've seen various people say that the neighbor Irene, (Lynn Whitfield,) stole the show over Erica Durance and the guy. That SHE is the one to watch in this movie. (She is an Emmy award winner and Golden Globe nominee.)

Otherwise, I'd agree with you. I can't stand Erica Durance and wouldn't think about giving it a try.

Finished watching We Need a little Christmas. Did anyone else think the movie just ended abruptly? I was very glad Miles made it home though. Absolutely Irene made this movie! ITA Imzadi and others of you that have already said this. Has she been in any other Hallmark movies? Have a good evening, friends :)

As I was out of town last weekend, I only just watched Christmas Bedtime Stories. While I thought Pierce just wasn't the right guy, I was totally blind-sided when Colby was still alive. That aside, I think the actor playing Colby needs some acting lessons. He was so flat in his delivery of lines that I felt like the whole "I'm still alive" ending felt like her wishful thinking.

I have no clue if this has been posted but for anyone looking for streaming options for hallmark
https://www.tvinsider.com/1067741/h...oclRqIBqYhvBmzLsPt7NeyYfK5840JH32wSASgzyEnajI

I have no clue what being the official streaming home means. From the little research I've done since reading this, Peacock is ADDING the Hallmark channels to their premium service. Yet nothing else is changing. They are NOT being removed from the other services that are also streaming them, like YouTubeTV, Sling, and FrndlyTV, etc.

I haven't seen it yet. But his delivery sounds like he was still "dead." ;)
