Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

Since we know some of stars signed exclusive contracts with either Hallmark or GAF, I've been curious to find out if we will see holes in the Hallmark Christmas movie schedule. :scratchin

Here is a quick list of all the STARS who will be in Hallmark movies this season. (Usually we just get a calendar schedule listing the title of the movie, but not listing the stars.) Other than Candace & Danica missing, it does look like Hallmark has been able to spread out the other favorite stars pretty well. I see only a handful of movies that have no one I recognize.

For those of you shouting, "I want to see some Halloween romantic comedies!" :badpc: Unfortunately, according to the networks, "Halloween doesn’t have a global appeal like Christmas does."

Hilarie Burton and Robert Buckley have a script ready for a Halloween rom-com. 🎃

Burton-Buckley.jpg

No one has picked up the movie script yet, Hilarie revealed, including Lifetime. Hilarie shared the story on Twitter in response to a fan tweeting that Hilarie and Robert would be perfect for a Halloween-themed rom-com.

One fan, Michael Smith tweeted that he knew Hilarie had issues with Hallmark in the past. [A few years ago, while preparing for a Hallmark movie, Hilarie requested that the movie include some diverse casting, including an LGBTQ character and an interracial couple. Back then, they denied her requests and told her to take the job or leave it." She left and went to Lifetime where they included her requests.] Smith wrote, "Maybe Hallmark would be interested now that things are different at the network. Maybe pitch your Halloween movie to Hallmark. Everyone deserves another chance especially when things are changing in the right way at the network.”

Samantha S. tweeted, “So many of us who adore your Practical Magic vibes/aesthetic would eat this idea up! We need more of it! 🧡🔮🍁

Others suggested Netflix as a possible platform.

That’s funny. My dd, who has only ever watched one Hallmark movie with me (she is 26) just said to me last week, they need to make Halloween movies 😜. I love Hilarie I would be up for that.

Not normally a Hallmark movie viewer, but I made an exception here. Yosemite's scenery is truly world class, and the movie does justice to the park. A little history is mixed in, too. Think Ansel Adams.

The newest star to sign an exclusive, multi-picture contract with Hallmark is Erin Cahill.

https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/erin-cahill-hallmark-media-overall-deal-1235413153/

Erin-Cahill-Hallmark.jpg

And some disappointing news I read, although I haven't had a chance to look over Great American Family (GAF's) Christmas schedule to verify this, that Trevor Donovan has no Christmas movie in the lineup.

Trevor was one of the first stars who signed an exclusive contract with GAC Media. The only thing he is appearing in this season is Dancing With the Stars. And he may only be on that another week or two.

I have to wonder if his contract with GAC Media didn't work out the way he wanted. Or if they are saving him for non-Christmas movies, which there weren't that many of this year. Either way, it may have left him scrambling to find other work. :scratchin
