Do you know of other movies like this free on Amazon Prime? This movie was such a gem. But, I'm not finding many others. I think I've pretty much watched all the movies I'm interested in right now on Prime.

To be honest, except for Christmas movies and Hallmark movies, I generally watch Horror movies and TV LOL, so anything else I watch on amazon would likely not work here This one we watched because it's quirky and we love Katherine Newton.

I watch a lot of cop dramas and heavy murder mysteries with a lot of blood & violence. I watch Hallmark movies and the Christmas movies and such as I can only take so much blood spilling and then I need a break.

I love Kathryn Newton too. She's growing up to be a great actress. She's had the great fortune of working with great actresses who I hope had been mentoring her: Frances McDormand, then the whole cast of Big Little Lies.

Merry Movie Week
Friday, June 23 to June 30.

The first Christmas movie starts late Friday night at 11pm ET, so they can barely call it a full week of movies, but we get our fix of Christmas movies a week early!

From Friday night 11pm on, all day & night Saturday & Sunday to Monday 3am ET, there will be a Christmas movie marathon of HM&M movies only.

Then Monday - Friday, 5pm - 1am ET, there will be four Christmas movies each night.

The Christmas movies will only air ONCE. So be sure to DVR the movies you want to watch as they won't repeat this week.

Saturday, July 1st at 10am ET starts Christmas in July on the Hallmark Channel with only Hallmark Channel movies.

The Christmas movies are not airing 24 hours a day. They will be showing from 10am - midnight ET each day. Again,
the Christmas movies will only air ONCE, no repeats.

I had no idea there were so many "so and so it's time to come home for Christmas" I have watched several today. I could do without that song however.

I really like tonight's Match Me. Super cute. I will probably switch back to Christmas now. I'm a sucker for Christmas in July.

I just posted the below in the kindness thread and want to do so here, as well. Dad and I enjoyed watching some of Unlocking Christmas last night that we had DVR-ed on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Unlocking Christmas is apparently based on A Season to Celebrate by Fern Michaels, which I have added to our library account as an E Book to readUnlocking Christmas is about a veteran named Kevin who has recently returned home to his small town and is (I think) living with his parents. I always do love when both parents are healthy and positive characters in Hallmark Christmas especially movies. God has Kevin meet his love interest, a doctor named Kate at the local where she's spending the year working. I really like so far, her sweet coworker, nurse Liz. We stopped watching when both Kate and Kevin discover a mysterious left at their respective along with a clue note.

Unlocking Christmas, reminds me of another Hallmark Christmas movie that ad and I also both enjoyed last year (I'm not finding its name--anyone)? about a small-town newspaper reporter who once was a feature story writer but after something happened which took away his confidence in continuing with that, he currently writes less time-consuming pieces. He meets one of his biggest fans who has a crush on him in a neighboring town. I believe she works with a friend coworker in some type of remodeling store (I could be making that part up) anyway the two of them partner up to work through a series of clues that takes them on adventures all around NYC where they finally meet the couple who inspired something.... thanks to help from the boss of the reporter. I know that was both long winded and vague. Any ideas on what movie this may have been? I'll share more about Unlocking Christmas once we have finished watching.

Imzadi, I knew you would know and sure enough you did. I would rewatch that movie if it is ever aired again. In fact, both are semi similar to A Very Vintage Christmas. I think this is a full link to that movie. Last time I DVR-ed that movie was when I remember it got cut off at the end because I didn't know that it was possible until you, Imzadi cleverly told all of us, to add an extra 5 minutes onto a recording which I always do now to anything I DVR I wasn't a fan of Patricia Richardson's character at all in the old Lifetime TV show Strong Medicine. IIRC, she was endearing in this movie I hope all of you in this kind and fun thread are enjoying a good movie today.

I crashed right after I got home from work last night. Then I woke up at 3am. It was really nice turning on the TV and finding a Christmas movie on HM&M. I know I can put on a movie I recorded. But, it doesn't quite feel the same.

I posted this in the kindness thread and want to share here, too

My extra sincere to those of you and/or your family members, who have served or are serving our country. How blessed we are to live in a free country.

Dad and I did enjoy watching the rest of A Grown-Up Christmas List last night. I loved Luke, the main male character's parents Peggy and Charlie and that both were healthy, faithful, and positive people. The same with Taylor's, Luke's eventual wife, Grandfather Frank who owned a country hardware/miscellaneous store. I do wish the movie had been more faith centered. The title's song will always remind me of a choir friend Barbara, singing it one year at church.

I watched this yesterday and I really liked it! I am a sucker for all those Indian wedding and matchmaker shows, and this reminded me of them.

I watched this last night. I really liked it. The matchmaker went more in depth about looking at ongoing considerations that really make a marriage possibly last than just usual accidental meeting, feeling some chemistry and more accidental get togethers and suddenly a couple is in love.
