Machu Picchu? No, it on my bucket list, although a bit down on the list. All those stairs look daunting now for my creaky knees. :headache:

I have not been there although it's on my bucket list too. :p My niece, on the other hand, has been and spent three days hiking up to it. When she was sharing her photos and telling her stories, I lamented that I wanted to see it but if there's three days of hiking....:sad2: She said not to worry, there's a train that will take you up to the site. Helloooo!! Yes Please!

BTW, I haven't seen this movie yet. I'm going to have to catch it Wednesday night.

I have to say, I'm really excited for Christmas in July and am happy to see so much content. What's the song, "we need a little Christmas ... right this very minute..." 🎄🎅Very curious to see what cruise was like, can't wait to see what I may have missed last year that was on +, didn't realize Holidazed was reality-based ... will keep an open mind.

I have/am currently rewatching A Veteran's Christmas (I loved all the characters especially Joe who was so handsome and kind) and Christmas on Call (I love the older doctor and matchmaking nurse Emerson, I believe her name is). Two fun, long weekend movies. I hope each of dear you found something merry to watch, too. Hug to all :)

Just a quick post to say I finally watched A Macchu Picchu Proposal. I really enjoyed the brother/sister dynamic in the movie. The views were spectacular and it was a cute movie too. I'm kinda surprised how they were able to shoot scenes in the movie literally right in the site.

Last night, I escaped Christmas for a bit and watched La Dolce Villa on Netflix. It looks like it was a Valentine's movie. It was set in Italy (again, beautiful scenery) with the current stereotypical "buy a villa for a euro" plot... but it also very good. So, if you need a breather from all the Christmas... it's a good alternative. :)

Reminder:

We're halfway through the month. ☃️ :santa:

On Saturdays: There are still two more new Christmas movies at 8pm (ET/PT). The films are all part of an Unwrapping Christmas theme. They originally premiered on Hallmark+ in September 2024. This is the first time they will be on the Hallmark Channel.

As her chemistry with Sean grows, Lily begins to wonder if he's the true match she’s been waiting for all along.

If you missed or didn't get to record the other two Unwrapping Christmas movies already aired, this is the showtimes for them.

"While each movie can be enjoyed as a standalone story, the order they premiered provides the best viewing experience as the movies take place during the same timeframe and culminate at the same gala event."

Unwrapping Christmas: Tina's Miracle (Movie 1)
Starring:
Natalie Hall and Alec Santos.
Description: Successful gift-wrapping shop owner Tina is in charge of planning this year's annual Christmas gala. But things begin to go awry when the gala faces cancellation due to a scrooge-like estate owner.

ONLY upcoming showtime listed is:
Saturday July 19 10/9c

Unwrapping Christmas: Mia's Prince (Movie 2)
Starring:
Kathryn Davis and Nathan Witte.
Description: Mia, an accountant at All Wrapped Up, is stunned when local celebrity Beau Cavannagh, who looks just like her favorite romance novel hero, enters her life. Despite her doubts, Beau, an heir to a wealthy family, proves his feelings for her are real, even as his family disapproves. Mia soon finds herself swept up in a fairytale romance that’s straight out of her dreams.

ONLY upcoming showtime listed is:
Saturday July 26 10/9c

Of course, the last movie in the series, Unwrapping Christmas: Olivia's Reunion (Movie 4) is next Saturday.

I'm enjoying the Christmas in July shows - haven't watched the one about the cruise yet. One note on Holidazed ... it's actually not a reality series. The description (below) certainly reads like one, but it's scripted with actors you're likely to recognize.

Hallmark’s first-ever holiday limited series follows six families from different backgrounds, cultures and generations all living on the same cul-de-sac, as they celebrate the chaos and the joy of the holiday season with a family that’s distinctly theirs. During a time when emotions are amplified, families and neighbors comedically and lovingly come together to celebrate their traditions — and eccentricities — that ultimately help them discover what they do have in common: LOVE in all its different forms.

Some of their sweepstakes prizes (link a few posts above) are really good. Fingers crossed one of us will be a winner!

I’ve had Hallmark+ for around 8 months now, and I really like it. My favorite show is The Way Home. Every time I’d log onto H+ I’d see When Calls the Heart at or near the top of the page. I had tried to watch it a couple of times before but probably only got 1/2 way through the first episode. I realized that I disliked the actress (not her personally, of course, but she has a weird smile sometimes that reminds me of the Grinch when he was grinning). I had seen Erin Krakow in a few Hallmark movies in the past and that weird smug-smile thing she does always made me cringe.

Sooo…. about a month ago there was NOTHING to watch, so out of boredom and desperation I decided to try WCTH one more time.

OMG now I know why so many people love this show! I’ve already binge-watched all 12 seasons, and I’m so glad to know that there will be a season13! :cloud9:

So that’s my Hallmark confession. :flower3:

P.S. I really like Erin Krakow now. :sunny:

P.P.S. Now let me ask, have there ever been any shows that you really thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving?? popcorn::

Thank you! Yes, I also read and recopied a description that made Holidazed sound like it was a reality show. I was surprised as I thought it originally was a movie. Then when the description made it sound like it was reality show based, I thought they did some type of spin-off of the movie. I wasn't interested in that, so I didn't watch. Since it's scripted, yes, I'll watch it. :thumbsup2

Several of us here love The Way Home. ❤️ So complex and well written. popcorn::

I also didn't like When Calls the Heart originally. I found it hard to get into. Then, one time, I had the TV on during some much later episodes and started getting into it. Then, I had to go back and watch from the beginning. It's not at all in the league of The Way Home, but I liked it well enough.

I saw Erin Cahill in a promo and realized this was Hallmark royalty rather than reality, and I was in  I guess it's more like Beatrice and Eugenie royalty, but I'm good with that :cutie:
