Hallmark Christmas in July 🎄 comfort & joy ❤️

Baking Spirits Bright on Lifetime, didn't do as well.
I didn't care for it, either. First thing that hit me was the lead actress was too sure of herself (her "no one knows any better than ME" attitude), and the actors playing the mother & father were so stereotypical I didn't feel they had any depth.

The Lifetime channel is now showing a new Christmas movie every night at 8pm ET through Christmas. (Movie repeats 4 hours later, so 12am in eastern time zone.)

Funny, here our DISH schedule says there's a movie called "W" on Lifetime tonight. I've noticed, since the pandemic started, the person/people involved with entering the info in the schedule have made MANY errors. I think they didn't want to take the time to enter the whole title.

"W" sounds like it could be a monster/horror movie, like the Brad Pitt movie World War Z! :scared: :lmao:

I watched A Christmas Witness on ION. It was MUCH better than last week's movie on ION. This movie has kind of an over the top storyline with a mob hit man trying to kill the male lead so he can't testify against the mob boss, while he's hiding in witness protection, being protected by a female federal marshal. So the acting is a little over the top. Just expect that when watching. Colin Egglesfield is such good-looking eye candy, the movie was worth watching just for him. popcorn::

Is that the one listed as "Holiday Hitman"(ION) on the schedule?

I can' remember if it was mentioned on here or my Facebook Hallmark group but stars on Hallmark are doing a brief appearance on other movies. Paul Campbell was a fireman looking at the kittens in the new kitten movie and Alison Sweeny was a guest appearance in the new It's time for them to come home for Christmas. There is another one where Andrew walker does a guest appearance but can't remember which one. Heard Tyler Hynes did one too

Thank you all for keeping this wonderful thread going! I feel so behind as I still haven't watched many movies yet. I will, promise :santa: I enjoy reading each of your thoughts on a movie and thank you for sharing them.

Thanks PollyannaMom and Imzadi for the Christy recommendation! I had never heard of that show/book. I added it to my library list. I do tend to like the older movies better because they often are simpler, more down to earth. I'll get busy watching and then to sharing what I think :)

I was really surprised when I saw Paul Campbell. :thumbsup2
I liked the nine kittens movie, although I liked the first one more. All the kittens were really cute. Turns out, they all got adopted by the crew who worked on the film.

For those that don't know the actors by name, it's not a problem. When you see them, it will be, "Hey! Isn't that an actor/actress that usually stars in the Hallmark movies?" It's fun to spot them. Hallmark probably got the idea to put them in each other's movies as they were all up in Canada filming at the same time, this summer.

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for Alison and Tyler Hynes. :magnify:

I saw Andrew Walker in last week's movie with Bethany Joy Lenz & Tyler Hynes called An Unexpected Christmas.

Andrew and Bethany did a a couple movies together. One is on Lifetime called Snowed Inn Christmas. It's a couple years old, yet I recommend this movie. It is one of their better movies.

Snowed Inn Christmas is on Lifetime again this Thurs, Dec 2 at 12pm. And also Sat, Dec 11 at 12:30. (Yes, weird time.)

I've been watching a lot of Christmas movies, I record all the new ones on Hallmark, my husband watches them with me, there have been several this year that didn't make it past the 30 minute mark. The worst one was Christmas Contest with Candace Cameron Bure, just too much bickering, no chemistry between the leads and as my husband said "she can't act). I think they need to find a new plot, these have been done over and over again. Very few would I watch again, most are surprisingly lame, the one with Teri Hatcher was a disappointment.

For those who celebrate or are interested in Hanukkah, "The Eight Gifts of Hanukkah" will premiere this Friday night, 12-03-21, on the Hallmark Channel. This is Hallmark's first movie dedicated exclusively to Hanukkah.

I'm surprised they didn't schedule this for last Sunday when Hanukkah started. They were already doing one Christmas movie that might. They could have given up a slot.

Thanks. 🌹 Don't feel you are behind. I think most people still don't get into the Christmas mood until after Thanksgiving. It's the stores, and now the TV channels that are pushing Christmas earlier every year.

Checking in after being distracted all last week by the Gilmore Girls binge-a-thon on UpTV. :rolleyes1

I got back into the Christmas movies filling up my DVR yesterday with Christmas Pen Pals from Lifetime. I've always been a letter-writer and really enjoyed it!
