Half Price tickets for AP holders

I just returned from my spring trip only to find an AP email telling me about specials for May for AP holders....great, but missed it. Since AP holders can buy 1 day 2 park and 2 day 2 park tickets for 1/2 price, I was wondering if anyone know more info on this special. It says you have to buy at the window. Does anyone know if the tickets you buy are good for only that day or can you save them for future use. There is not much info regarding this special on the AP website. We have family going with us in August and want to do US/IOA for 1 day. While I was thinking a power pass might be their best option, this promotion may be better for them. Has anyone purchased these special AP discounted tickets?

These are regular guest tickets available to passholders at the gate. I'm thinking these tickets are for immediate use and not for future visits. The passholder must be present to purchase the tickets. As far as anyone knows, this is a special for May only but there's a chance they could extend it...but maybe not.

The tickets can be used anytime but they must be purchased in May.

Thanks--Drat--I was just there and returned home on May 9th. Maybe I'll get some of my Florida AP friends to swing by and pick some up.

Glad you asked that my mom was asking me same thing last night...she wants to take my niece when she picks her up in Orlando on June so I guess I will buy her a pass in a cpl weeks when I go.

OK, I lied. I just found out the half price rickets are only good the day of purchase. You can't buy them now and use them later. I'm going to edit my other post so someone doesn't follow my very wrong advice.

You are never going to believe this. I got a call from USF today telling me that they are going to let me still purchase the 1/2 price tickets for my August family trip--even though the promotion was for May. I was so thrilled to hear this and never expected it. I called the rep and confirmed and got a confirmation number. The rep was so nice and pleasant and I must have thanked her a dozen times. Wow....It's really great when someone goes above and beyond and makes you feel so special!!

yes, i pulled up my may ap newsletter and did read that also.
the promo was for may.

I'm been getting a ton of US/IOA emails too. I've not gotten anything on June promotions yet.

So I'm not the only one! I seem to get updates only for Hollywood, not Orlando! I signed up for the HHN updates and I still have not gotten an email telling me that tkts are on sale. While I understand that AP prices aren't out yet, but they could have at least told me the regular price tkts were on sale. Had it not been for this site, I never would have known! I wonder why I bother to sign up for email updates....

two years ago i only received the email updates from the hollywood UO.

i sent a couple of emails and now have been getting the orlando uo emails since last october.

i understand your frustrations.

thanks for the thought.... I should let them know that I am only getting CA updates not FL.... you would think they would realize I am a FL resident, an AP holder for the Orlando parks... I signed up for my local updates & that I would want my updates unless they feel that they need to advertise CA to me...
