Is there a way to purchase tickets that are for say 5pm to close? I know that there are some parks that do this, didnt know if Disney does.

Any part of a day spent in a theme park requires a full admission.

HOWEVER-
Once you reach the 4th or 5th "day" on a multi-day ticket, the price to enter a park for the day drops to just FIVE to SEVEN DOLLARS.

They sometimes do this for convention people (conventionears), but not for the general public.

I think people who live in Florida can get some kind of dinner thing, but since I don't live there I never paid it much attention.

The only time I have heard the price of parking droping are the stories of the parking booths being unmaned after sometime in the evening and the discount would be free if that was the case.

Quick question, I am attending a convention in October and am planning on buying the base tickets through the link you mention. My concern is that we will be arriving 2 days prior to registration and I'm not sure what kind of proof is required in order to activate those types of tickets. Do you know what i'd need to bring with me?

They usually sell them outside the exhibit halls in ORL convention center in the main lobby. It is not that good a deal vs an all day ticket. I assume they are happy for any purchase.

If you are arriving two days prior to the convention start, it may make more economic sense to just purchase a multi-day base (or hopper ticket). I think the prices for an After 2:00 are around $60 and the After 4:00 around $50.

If you need a two full day ticket for the days before your convention starts it is $162. However the third day adds $62 more, the 4th day adds $8, and any additional days are only $5 each.

So if you will be doing the two days before your convention plus at least two afternoons or evenings during the convention it is much less expensive to just get a regular MYW ticket.

Yes if you search for the disney convention web site you can purchase the after 2 and after 4 tickets on there. Then you just pick them up at Will Call at any park--you don't have to say what park. You just print out a page to bring with you no other proof is required. I bought my DHs ticket and actually brought the wrong piece of paper to the park and they were able to find it with my credit card. The tickets are almost immediately available too so you can buy an extra afternoon one if you find you have more time than expected on another day. They are very strict on the times with these tickets so don't expect early entry. The convention can be anywhere it doesn't have to be on WDW property at all.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I am going to purchase a 6 day MYW base ticket through the convention since it saves about $40 and gives me a day at the water park at no additional charge. I just wasn't sure what kind of proof might be required since we are arriving two days prior to registration.

Just be aware that the convention tickets, including the one you described, cannot be upgraded or modified in any way.

places like Cedar Point ni Ohio sell "starlight tickets" . they are great for that first night, arrival day. unfortunately, Disney does not sell these.

however, as already posted, after 4 days, adding another day ticket is a minimal price., so just buy 5 dyas instead of 4.

It's Disney's way of keeping you "on property".
