Half and Full Ironman 2009 Thread?

If this duplicates an existing thread somewhere, I apologize, but is anyone else on the boards planning on a 1/2 or full IM for 2009?

How about a thread on the disboards with friends for support, encouragement, safe venting space?

I know I could use it, as some of the other forums I subscribe to (not dis related) aren't super friendly to newcomers...they appear to be geared toward those have done multiple long distance endurance events.

Mike....I just posted on the triathlon 2009 thread. I've done 6 IMs but still consider myself newbie-friendly! Feel free to ask anything here. I think there is at least one other full IMer here, and at least one other who is training for his first this year. Which race are you doing?
