HAL points for 2005

Just called MS to ask questions about the points schedule for the HAL cruise for summer 2005. I was surprised they didn't have anything points chart yet and had no idea when it would come in. I am trying to estimate the cost to determine if we should book on points or rent the points and pay cash.

Has anyone else booked on points? Any suggestions?

I think you can realistically use this years points to plan. I doubt they will change much for next year since there was a major shift in how the system works for 2004 with a change toward different points for different seasons. Do compare to cash prices for an ouside cabin to see what's best.

thanks Dean. I know you have said often to rent points and then pay cash. We are new DVC owners and renting sounds so scary BUT I know this forum is such an asset if I go that route I will ask away.
