I am trying to find out if Hakuna Matata is a noun, verb, adverb or what??? I am not good in English, but need to determine this for a project.

Any ideas? I know it means....no worries, no problems.

Thanks
Pam

Did a quick Google search for you and found a definition:

hakuna matata n. phrase
from hakuna matata "no difficulties": no troubles, problems, worries or cares [< Swahili hakuna "there is no, there are no" + matata plural of tata "tangle, mess, difficulty, perplexity"].

So it is a noun phrase. :)

To quote the song.... it's a "wonderful phrase" :)

In my town Hakuna Matata is a group of 16 kids working to stamp out cancer. These kids have named their group this year the Hakuna Matatas and they range anywhere from 8years old to 15 years old. Last year they were the Queens of Hearts and something else and they raised the most money for our local Relay for Life - over $7500.

Its a verb or Noun, but I was singing it on the way to My Hysterectomy before I went OUT!:p :teeth:
