Trip Planning
Some of you may remember our Adventures With Cass and Noel from last year at this time. At the end of our adventure we were bumped from our Air Canada flight on the way home and were given flight vouchers that needed to be used within a year. Well these things had been burning a hole in my pocket where to go.... England? Mexico? Well you guessed it. We inevitably planned another trip to Disney.
Cass and Noel were already booked to go on an Alaskan cruise this summer, so the original plan had Hayley and I going with my Mom. We started out looking at Pop nope that wouldnt do lets try Coronado Springs since we havent stayed there yet. We originally booked there for our 8 nights, then the August special came out and we were able to stay at AKL for slightly more than CSR was going to cost. Having stayed at AKL (courtesy of Cass) last summer, I knew that Mom would absolutely love it there so we booked a pool view room.
Well, sadly Mom was not able to come with us. We received news on the Friday before we were to leave that my aunt (Mom's sister) was gravely ill. So instead of coming with us to Disney, we put Mom on a flight on Saturday to Vancouver, but we knew that's were she needed to be and she was able to spend some time with my aunt before she passed away.
Air Canada was wonderful though and we were able to use Mom's ticket for my niece Alli who was able to come with us. Hayley was thrilled that Alli was now coming as they get along really well and it wouldnt be just her and her boring uncool Mom
At that point I just threw out my trip plans except for my Priority Seatings for our dinners and decided it would be a Hakuna Matata trip with me and the girls, realizing how short life really is and we would just stop and smell the roses this time around.
We were thrilled to be going to be going to Disney again, but we departed on Monday, Aug. 23 with heavy hearts, knowing we were losing someone very dear to us.
