Rick- hope you found those jumper cables to jump start this week!

AFM - my life seems to revolve around exercises, icing, and elevation, we did get out to a MS bike team party,and hoping we will be trained enough to ride with our team on the ride in August. I got on the bicycle at PT this morning, even made it all the way around with one leg, did not do as well this afternoon on our bike, pulled a muscle trying to get off,now I am back to icing and elevation.

I am not sure what the deal is, but last week I had no motivation to do anything. Part of it was due to the stress of Ryan breaking his wrist and having surgery (he is doing fine thankfully). But, I have been feeling very tired. I didn't want to get up and exercise (I got in only 7.5 miles for the week). I ate a lot of junk.

I need a 'jumpstart'! Anybody got jumper cables?

When you find those jumper cables, can you send them my way next?

On the bright side, my new shoes came today! :) I took them for a trial spin on the treadmill-o-doom and they're nice so far. I was surprised at how cushy they are.

245 lbs - same as last 3 weeks! :(

I managed to "snipe" a deal on a Garmin Forerunner 610 (watch & charger only) on E-bay Monday and it arrived today! :) I of course charged it up and took it for a spin.. on the treadmill-o-doom. *sigh* We're supposed to get 6-12 inches of SNOW Sunday-Monday ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!

It's supposed to get to 48-50 degrees F tomorrow, so I may bundle up a little and just go out and get some fresh air in a short run outside in the afternoon.

I've been in the new New Balance shoes a couple of times now and I'm still surprised at how cushy they are. I can't wait to see how they feel once I hit t he concrete/pavement with them.

Two guys at work are looking at starting to do the Insanity workout. They want me to do it with them, but I've already told them that I wouldn't be doing it every day due to my training for the Flying Pig. So I may try a modified schedule and try to use it as a cross training tool. The core & balance workout disc really got my interest in looking over the materials.

AFM - Still just doing PT exercises, icing, elevating, and then doing it all again. I guess I am not doing too badly, but it is sure slow. I can only get all the way around on the bicycle about half the time, the rest of the time I just have to rock back and forth own foot at a time. I am pretty much off the pin killers, taking them only before bed and first thing in the morning.

Same old - same old here. I did get outside to walk up and down the driveway to practice my walking (I am learning how to walk again), it should be nicer today outside and will do that again.

We had a follow up appointment with the Doc in Fort Collins for Scott's knee, all is looking good, he was released to ride bike outside, so he has enjoyed taking a bike to the mailbox for mail and newspaper. Weather has been really nice for last 2 days, I have been enjoying outside walks, and I am up to a 30:25 mm!!!! (for almost a mile distance).

We got thru another PT session! I got in a walk when we got home, wanting to beat the incoming weather. I made it a mile today, with a 30mm pace! Cannot wait until I am off the Coumadin (blood thiner) and can start taking Advil which should help with swelling (Thurs).

Glad you are doing well, Lynn! How are the pups? Have they been anxious that you are moving less/slower lately?

AFM: 3 miles at the gym. Boring but at least it is done.

Elizabeth - the dogs do not seem to mind missing their walks, they are happy as long as someone feeds them regularly!

AFM - Very sore knees last night, guess I may have done too much, will take it easy today and see if that helps. The weather has been so nice, I just want to be outside walking, but may have to make it outside SITTING today.
