Hakuna Matata March-ing in like Lions!!

Good Morning, TEAM! :wave2:

Denise, Glad you got a direct flight – Have Fun! :goodvibes I found the Magical Express really really convenient – If you want to pick up your own bags ‘Do NOT Put the Tags (mine were yellow) that Disney supplies on them.’ And it is NO problem changing the time you arrive the Disney Express run 24-hours a day.

This week I am trying to get to the gym by 5:am – :upsidedow
I did 7.5 miles on the bike, lower body workout, 7.5 miles on the bike, 10 minutes on the elliptical, and then 10 minutes of stretching…I will be ready for a nap when Hagen takes his!

If weather permit hope to get Hagen out for a short walk this afternoon. If not will do a few on the DM...Yuck!

Have a Great Day...working, training, relaxing, or just being you!
Anne, Connie, Dave & Erica, Denise & Mark, Scott & Lynn, Diane, Eva, Jack, Jennifer, Jen, Jessica, Kathy, MaryJ, Maroo, Nichole, Sue, and Vicky!

Good Morning Team!

Really busy at work & no time to post. Hope everyone is well.

It was a very cold weekend & today is even colder(-15F) but no snow.

Denise, Have a great vacation.

Nothing exciting to post. Putting in the miles & doing a lot of crosstraining. Have a great day.....Sue

Denise, Hope you make it out okay! I know they're saying there may be more snow tonight! Enjoy the warmth in Florida, I'll be living it vicariously through you!

Today is cross and strength training for me. I have my typical 90 minute dance class and then do an hour of strength training.

Best,
Jennifer

Denise-hope you get out or got out ok. So jealous that you will be in Florida.
Jennifer- wow you do so many active activities. I wish I could say the same, but I guess chasing my two kiddos should count for something.
funwalker-you are an inspiration

Having a hard time staying/getting motivated again. My DS has been sick for two weeks and after an almost trip to the er this weekend, and then half the morning/day at the pediatrician today I'm exhausted. Moms don't get sick and this time I did...harder to get myself going... on the positive my one year old is a healthy healthy boy (had his one year check up today-and he is right where he needs to be). I think I'll have to start up again with a few days of walking this week.

Denise I hope you got out ok. You guys need a break from the frozen north.

It's a wonderful 13 degrees here so today is another gym day, I thought I lived in the South. Oh well spring will eventually come. This has been an unusually cold winter for us. It will get into the 60s this week but the times it will be there I'll be at work, darn it.

Have a super day y'all.

Good morning Team!

I didnt' make to O'Hana to leave a post yesterday. I hope some of you did, though. I was off and running yesterday. I got a lot accomplished, but most of it was unexpected!

As a result there wasn't any exercise. But I am in taper, so nothing much was lost. I will make it up with some bike miles today.

It's supposed to be near 80 here today, but they said it was supposed to be in the 70's yesterday and I think it got up to about 54!

Watch today, you will see our totals go up!

See ya! -- Connie

Hi everyone! Another chilly morning here :cold: I think the temperature converts to about 6F but I'm sure it's much colder with the windchill. I need a job that lets me work somewhere warm in the winter. :goodvibes

Worked out last night with my PT. We did a new routine with a medicine ball. Lots of squats and throwing the ball around. One thing I kept forgetting was the weight of the ball. It wasn't heavy but when it's bouncing off the wall and coming back, I had to step back a little when catching it. I ended up bending my fingers a little funny because I'd try to catch it too early. Overall, it was pretty fun! A nice change in routine :)

Denise - I hope you and Mark were able to get out last night and had a safe flight down to WDW. Give Mickey a hug for me :goodvibes

Connie- Any chance you could send us some of that warm weather? Are we going to have another Hakuna Matada mixer this week?

JPFamilyMom - pixiedust: for your DS! I hope he's feeling better soon!

Jen - Sounds like a good workout! I always wanted to take a dance class but I have no coordination whatsoever!

Sue - Those are very impressive miles for February! WTG :cheer2: Do you have any races planned before the Waterfront marathon?

Dave - That's pretty chilly weather for you? Whatever happened to global warming?

Anne - I haven't really run after January. I think it's okay as long as you're still cross training or doing other exercises. That way you're giving your body a chance to rest and/or heal from any injuries.

Margie - Way to get those miles in!! You could come and train me!

Eva - I always put my tax refund (when I get one *ahem*) into my savings account for ... emergencies. Somehow that emergency always ends up being related to WDW ...:rolleyes1

Lynn & Scott, Jack and everyone else - :wave2:

Have a great day everyone!!

Made it in at 2am. Flight left at 9 arrived at 12, in room by 2am. Up now will take a bath then off to MK for the day. A brisk 47 this morning but it's 8 at home so I'll take the 47 with a high of 64 this PM,

see you later a long soak awaits me.

Hi TEAM!

Yeah! :cheer2: Denise & Mark…Thanks for letting us know you guys made it.

Vicky – I would love to do the gym train with you, but thinking I would seriously slow down your running!

How are the East Coast Team mates this morning? Still digging out? It looks like you all got lots of snow!

Connie- nope I sure do not want your 80 degrees! :wave2:

JPFamilyMom - :thanks: the older you get the harder it seems to get.

Okay, I did manage to get up at 4:am this morning-
Gym by 5:am 15 miles on the bike; 10 minutes on the elliptical; upper body workout; stretching- and 1 slow cool down 17 min mile on the DM. :upsidedow

Vicky- Scrapbooking tonight - my WDW 2009 should be done soon and will post a few pages.

Anne, Connie, Dave & Erica, Denise & Mark, Scott & Lynn, Diane, Eva, Jack, Jennifer, Jen, Jessica, Kathy, MaryJ, Maroo, Nichole, Sue, and Vicky!

Good Morning Team!

Margie, Nice workout at the gym.

Vicky, Nothing planned before Scotia. Saving as much $ as possible.
The Women's 1/2 looked interesting but my husband is doing a tri. that weekend. I need to give up a weekend here & there. It's not always about me.;)

Connie, How's the shoulder? 70-80 degree temps sound great but this winter has seemed sooooo long. I'd be happy with your 50.

Have a great day! Combat class at the gym during lunch hour. May run tonight. We will see how cold the wind is........Sue

Denise

Enjoy!!!!

Margie - Had to dig out my driveway again this morning, I hate when the town plows go by AFTER I've done my shoveling!!!!

Jack

Glad ya made it to WDW,

Lynn is in training, 12 hour days for her and about the same for me. Don't know if mine will ever end.

Our weather is nice, will try and catch up this weekend.

Denise, so glad to hear you and Mark got there safe. You guys have a great time and think warm thoughts for us.

It was 13 degrees here this morning so another treadmill day for me. Good stretching and lots of calf and shin work after.

I do really believe spring is coming although I think this will be a mild summer. It seems if we have a very cold winter the summer is cooler, which will be great for training.

Anyone having a hard time staying motivated this year?

Have an awesome day y'all.

Training Panda:hippie:

JPFamilyMom I may have forgotten mention but my school gives "points" for each workout and at the end of the year we can cash them for prizes like ski passes, gift certificates to the running store, so there's some more incentive in there

Today I did 4 miles in 33:45.

WOW! that is a nice incentive and Great Time :thumbsup2

Good Morning, TEAM! :wave2:

CONGRATULATIONS TEAM - FOR ALL THOSE Miles & Hours in February...it was a tough month weather wise to get miles in but you did Good! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Wellesley Princess-I so agree - Great Incentives! :yay:

Vicky-I scrapbooked for a couple of hours last night. :goodvibes

:hippie: Not sure your cool summer will not be too hot for me! :scared:

Made it to the gym again this morning – not saying I am totally addicted to this getting up at 4:am-but I know you know how hard it is to find quality training time. 15-miles on the bike; 10-minutes on the elliptical; stretching; slow 2-mile cool down on the DM and finished with 3 sets of 15 each with 100# weights-inner/out thigh machine.

Jack - I can relate! I have a circle drive, two ends to clean and it seems like they fill in my side of the street the most. We have two plows working in tandem and I really get packed in. I found it’s harder to clean on top of the 8-inches rather than getting out as fast as you can after they make the mess with the plows. But I do like being outside and I know it's hard to believe, but I do like to shovel :upsidedow

Good Morning Team!! :cool1:

It didn't make it to 80 yesterday. I didn't think it would. I did get my tiny little tomato, pepper and eggplant seeds in their little containers so that I can have lovely vegetables this summer!! As many as I planted though, I may have to hire my grandchildren to sell the veggies!

Do you guys realize that exercise is a new concept? Aerobics wasn't even a word until the late 60's?? That's because it took so much work to get from 5 am to 10 pm in life, that you didn't need exercise!! It wasn't until machines were cheap enough and plentiful enough to do so much of the work for us, that exercise was invented!

Margie, I guess we are the only ones up this early! LOL

The flying pigs (aka, birds) are eating me out of house and home!!! I have 30 and more trying to fit at the trough at once!!! And now, I will have to keep feeding them so they don't eat the seeds right out of my garden! :scared1:

Off to do weights! See ya!

Morning Kids it's been work work work for Lynn and I,

We did get the pups out for a short walk last night, cleaned out the little Jeep as it is off to the shop today.

Jack, What is up with Kemmerer???

Back at it.

Good Morning!

Margie, very impressed with your dedication to get up at 4am. I find getting up at 4:45 was early enough. Those are great numbers you are putting in for your training!:yay: How's the ankle? When is your next race?

Connie, How do you keep friends (birds, bunnies etc) from eating all the veggies etc? My neighbour has a great veggie garden but each year she looses so much to rabbits/ racoons etc. It's great in the summer to come home from work to find a big bag of fresh veggies hanging on our door. I would love to have a garden. We have a BIG backyard. I just don't have the time to maintain one.

Still cold today. Warmer temps in the forecast for the rest of the week & weekend with RAIN! I'm bummed. Was looking forward to a couple of great outdoor runs.

Weights at lunch & a run tonight after work. Have a great day.....Sue

Yes Mark and I went out for a walk. We did go BW/YC loop, the walkway to MGM then the path around the S/d, YC/BC and back to walkway by BW. Sunny and cool, perfect walking weather. Should be 80 for the Princess 1/2. I'll be back in NH by then.
