Hakuna Matata - Gobbling up the road!

It said on a Discovery Channel special on cold that when your body temp gets down to 89 degrees you go into a stupor. I need to go take my daughter's temp, that would explain a lot.

Erica and I got in a good hour and a half walk, a bit over 6 miles for a high 14s pace.

Good Evening Team!

Sounds like several are having good weather! It has been nice here also. Got a short dog walk in this morning before work.

Have a great day all!

Oh Dave that isn't very nice:laughing:

Hi Lynn!!!!! How is the knee doing?

Still training but heel doesn't seem to be getting better, torn between training enough and resting it. Oh well, what is a little pain crossing the finish line accepting my Mickey and Goofy Medals!!!!!

Have a great day all.

Kim

Hi everyone! Did my 3 miler this morning - nice and cool :) I went a bit slower since I had a tougher workout at the gym last night with heavier weights and deadlifting.

Kim - I know the feeling. You just want to get out there. Have you gone to see a doctor or Physio about your heel? They might be able to recommend some stretches or exercises for it. pixiedust: I hope it gets better soon.

Dave - you made me laugh! Now I'll have to take the temperature of everyone at work - that might explain a few things :)

Scott - Glad to hear you're feeling better :)

I'm expecting a busy day at work so I'll check in later. Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Team!

Nothing exciting to report. Took the night off. Only had to walk the dog.

Scott, Saw more Christmas lights on & a house with their tree up already.

Expecting great weather until Sat.:thumbsup2 Woohoo to running in shorts in November.

Busy at work. So I better get back at it. Have a great day everyone.......Sue

Good morning guys. I'm having a time getting Erica out of bed this morning for our 2 hour training walk. There is nothing more imobile that a woman that doesn't want to get up.

I'll, win, I might get bruised and beaten a bit but I'll get her up.

Dave:hippie:

Good Morning, TEAM! :wave2:

Mid 40’s, dark, and cloudy for the 3.3 miles short slow walk this morning-PTL for blister band-aids! Head is stuffy so doing the Airborne today. I think Scott shared :headache:

Connie- and DH must be on a Holiday! Is your foot any better? pixiedust: Hope you guys are getting medical answers and able to get the treatment needed for DGD. :grouphug:

Kim- pixiedust: I did not know you were having a problem with an injury :grouphug:

Lynn-job’s & family sure do change our training schedules! ::yes::

:hippie: DD-seriously I never heard anything like that - so
Great Walk with Erica! :upsidedow

Hi everyone! Back on the "berry" I was almost in rehab......
Work is going well, finished with my off-duty conduct policy, it now includes
motor-coaches and stripper poles :confused3
4.5 in 40 min. this morning needed to clear my head.....
Margie~ hope all is well

Good Morning Team!

Day off here today, so hopefully, we will both get out for longer walk/run. The knee doesn't feel too bad today - but then, I have done no more than short walks for the past 2 days. Yesterday, after work, we drove down to Denver for "Wicked", and did not get home until 1AM - glad we did not have to get up for work today! Wicked was great! Now to make up for no exercises yesterday!

Have a great day all!

Hi everyone! Another busy day here so just a quick drive by for me... Was suppose to do a 35 minute tempo run this morning. But I only managed 3 miles - what a stonker :( Not sure exactly what happened since everything felt fine. Maybe I have to start eating a little bit of something in the morning before I run. I use to do ok on an empty stomach for anything up to 6 miles.

Lynn - Glad to hear the knee is doing okay! Sounds like you had fun at Wicked :)

Jack - I must remember to track you down in January and ask you about that code of conduct policy. Sounds interesting ...

Margie - Thanks! That made me smile :) Hope you're able to shake that cold pixiedust:

Sue - Are you running in the Whitby 10K or 10 miler in a couple of weeks?

Have a great day everyone!

Good Afternoon Team!

Nice run outside last night in shorts & a ls tee. A little colder today but still fantastic weather for Nov.

Vicky, So close to home but no, not doing the Whitby races or the Resolution run. DH did mention doing ATB though.

A little more work to do before heading home. Have a great evening.....Sue

Vicky, hope things calm down soon.

Kim, hope the injury continues to get better.

Only 10 work days til thanksgiving and both us and the kids are crazy!

Managed 5 miles in 43 minutes (not my best but a nice stretch)

Best,
Jennifer

Good morning team! Not much of import to report ... I skipped my run this morning. I was awake but my body just felt exhausted so I thought it would better to give myself a break. I'll still head to the gym tonight and maybe do a 1/2 hour on the treadmill after training (as long as we don't go heavy with the weights).

Jennifer - Looks like everyone is looking forward to a day off :) November is kind of a dull month here since we don't have any public holidays - unless you for the government or bank (and even then not really).

Sue - Let me know if the both of you sign up. I'm still waffling on it but will probably sign up in the end. The distance still seems daunting to me. I guess it's really just a half marathon with an extra 9K on the end :)

Connie - How's DGD doing? Have you been able to get any kind of help from the doctors?

That's all for me! Have a great day everyone :)

Good Afternoon, TEAM! :wave2:

Brisk, upper 20’s, beautiful, and the sun was peaking through for this mornings walk.

pixiedust:pixiedust: Kim, Vicky, Lynn, and Scott! pixiedust:pixiedust:
Feeling better, but it looks like the cold has taken up residence!

Vicky-please tell us that you are taking a regularly scheduled total rest day?

Have a Great Day Everyone! :upsidedow

Later...

Happy Thursday Team!

Have plans for the evening so I went to the gym at lunch. A quick 5 on the treadmill. Nothing exciting to report except inconsiderate people. The are extra reminders posted about wiping down the machines after use because H1N1. This didn't apply to the people on either side of me.

Vicky, I'll keep you informed about us doing ATB. We will need to decide quick before the registation fills.

Have a great evening everyone.........Sue

Hey everyone!

5 miles in 43 minutes.

Vicky, that must be tough with not holidays. We have Veteran's Day and than 3 days at Thanksgiving. I always forget Canadian Thanksgiving is our Columbus Day.

Best,
Jennifer

Happy Friday the 13th Team!

It's almost mid-November. Time is going by too quickly. Many things to get done over the next few weeks. A smidge of anxiety just hit me. I need to work on a big To Do List of all the things I need to accomplish before Marathon Weekend. While I love the training, we're not left with much "free" time over the coming weeks.

Weekend weather looks good for back to back runs. :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend team. Enjoy your training..........Sue

Never was one to be superstitious but today I got two paper cuts on the same hand, forgot my security pass at home and ended up being 30 minutes late for work, got my finger (opposite hand from the paper cut hand) caught on the door and the Starbucks barista mixed up my decaf with DF's coffee ... so I ended up being really wired (don't usually drink coffee) and he ended up feeling tired when he could have used the caffeine :laughing:

Well, at least it's Friday :goodvibes

Margie - Today is my full rest day. I'm enjoying (most of ) it so far! :cutie:

Jennifer - Wish we had at least one holiday a month :) I think November, March and June are all like that.

Sue - Must be hard - I've looked at the marathon training programs and wondered how people do them and work and run errands etc. Good luck with you list! Remember to take some time out for yourself and family :goodvibes

Have a great day everyone!
