Hakuna Matata - Gobbling up the road!

Good Evening Team!

Connie - I sent you our totals in a PM.

I got up early and took dogs around the block before going into work, it was a short walk, but it was different walking early before going to work. First day went well.

Have a great evening all!

Lynn~ sounds like your knee is doing fine! all that time in WDW must have helped. Hmmm does health care cover rehab in WDW? Note to self: check into that..

Scott~ sup? Back to work? Oh btw, the DREAMS look very cool. The slide over the water would be fun... glad you got booked it must have been a nightmare.

Dave~ congrats on conquering the tree, feels good to see it down eh?

Jenn~ how's the school year going, back on track? Highs & Lows, Highs & lows. Your work out posts alone make me tired :lmao:

Margie~ hope all is well?

Vickey~ hey!

Well, 5 miles in 45 min this morning, back in the office lets see what happened over night :surfweb:

Got on the TM this morn, then off to work and got a bunch of the admin stuff done early before the troops showed up, Got home before the sun sat and got the pups out for a walk, they have been fed and are sleeping, that will change when Lynn gets home. Looks like we might be on the road tomorrow, PT test Thursday Morn, feel a cold comming on,

Vicky, good news on getting out there,

Dave glad the tree is now toothpicks

Margie, I know it sounds crazy but raking piles of leaves in the fall is a very relaxing thing, great smell...

Jennifer you always amaze me with your speed, WTG

Just a couple o months till WDW, keep after it kids and all will be well...

Thanks for the well wishes on the tree. Yes it's another stressor that bite the dust. Scott if we lived close I sure would have called brother Scott to come and help.

Pandas are going extinct, nothing they can do about it. But people who are not facing extinction make a concious decision everyday to shorten their own lives by making bad choices. By helping people see that there is a better way and they can make their own lives better, just by changing their lifestyles, maybe they will begin to care more about the other bad choices we are making concerning our world. The panda is a symbol of what we are doing wrong.

I wrote that today and wanted to keep that thought going. Hope it makes sense.

Dave:hippie:

Scott, Thanks! I was just thinking how slow my recent run.

Jack, School is going better. Things have settled down. My kids love doing math problems based on my running and we use it for all sorts of word problems.

4.5 miles in 38.5 minutes

Best,
Jennifer

Good Morning, TEAM! :wave2:

Jack- Thank You :goodvibes

:hippie::grouphug:

No gym this morning – my muscles are screaming at me! Wimpy Old Lady :sad1:

Scott- this was not a relaxing raking. I had to power rake-2 1/2 hours. I have 30 plus trees, and it was the day they pick them up. The leaves are coming off early this year and I had mega leaves. The neighbor and his little boy seen the trucks a couple of streets over, came over with his mower, and helped me by doing my front circle. Then SIL arrived and used the mower to pick up the leaves in the back yard. We made it-What a blessing! Shoulder muscles are sore and I have several blisters.

Later...have a great day!

Morning everyone! Went out for a 30-ish minute tempo run! It was really chilly this morning - I think I have to make the change from a cap to a more wintery hat. My ears were really cold!

Margie - No wonder your muscles are sore - raking leaves from 30 trees in 2.5 hours! That's some serious exercise! I wouldn't say you were wimpy at all.

Sue/Kim - How's the Goofy training coming along? Just wondering if either one of you have done the Around the Bay race in Hamilton (30K). I'm thinking about this one but don't really like having to drive out to Hamilton twice (once for packet picket up and then for the race).

Jack/Scott/Dave/Lynn - :wave2:

MaryJ - Any updates from the doctor?

Connie - How's DGD doing?

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Kids, Got my guys out on a case and wish I was there, They Are The Best There Is ... Oh well calls to DC are keeping me in the office...

PT Test tomorrow, no biggie. I really think the standard for my office should be measured by computer mouse clicks not a 1.5 mile run LOL....

Jennifer, Kewl math probs based on your running, very good

Dave I woulda been there for sure.

WoW Margie, that is a forrest , but you could have made a really big pile of leaves to jump in...

Good morning Team!

Finally, all the company is gone.....for now! Have stuff to do to get ready for the next wave. Looks like we will have 3 full houses for Thanksgiving! We have a travel trailer and the little house and they will probably have people in them!

Vicki - My granddaughter is still in a great deal of pain and NO ONE wants to do anything about it. Although the school has been kept up to date with everything going on and even spoke to her doctor themselves, they were about to prosecute my daughter for allowing DGD truancy! My DD had to pull DGD out of school to for home schooling despite the fact that the school was supposed to provide a tutor. It's truly a mess. Most of the consulting doctors have stepped out of the loop and now my DD is just frantically trying to find someone who will even see her! Your prayers would be most appreciative.

Hello everyone. I will try to post more regularly!!! Off to do our numbers!

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

Connie- so sorry to hear about the lack of medical support for your grand daughter's medical problems. Will be praying for a quick solution. Yup, extra people is the house is can be lots of fun and lots of work! :confused3

Scott- I had several 4' piles that completely lined the front of the property! And I have a HUGE decorative pear tree that is still all green and has not lost a leaf-the oak trees do not count as they can keep leaves until spring! We are not allowed to burn.
WoW Margie, that is a forrest , but you could have made a really big pile of leaves to jump in...

Vicky- Hummm now you are modeling the moves. Way to go Girl! ::yes::

Sue-Where are you? :upsidedow

Later...

Good Morning Team!

Connie, Cont'd prayers for your DGD.

Margie, 30 trees. :faint:How big is your property? We live in an older neighborhood with many trees but not that many. After you rake, what happens to the leaves? We are required to dispose of them via large paper bags that the compositing truck picks up every other week. The bagging is harder then the raking.

Vicky, Definetely recommend. One of my favourite races. Well maybe not around 25k at the time but looking back it is. This race is always a sell out. Register early.
+ well organized, water stops, spectators, ability to wait inside Copps before the race with real washrooms with a short walk to the start, finish inside Copps with a great spot for spectators to wait, great step up from 1/2 to full distance.
- rolling hills through Burlington & a tough hill up the escarpement (sp?) around the 25k mark, trying to stay motivated after finishing Dinsey in Jan then training through the snowy, snowy, snowy winter.
Things you can't control. Race day weather. For March I lucked out with a beautiful day but it was cold & windy along the stretch by Lake Ont.

Another night. Another run. Now it's back to running in the dark after work. It seemed cold last night with a strong wind. Will be out again tonight.

Have a great day everyone..........Sue

Good Evening Team!

Jack - I can't say the knee is doing well, yesterday I could barely walk, it is better today, I did some exercises last night and again at the gym this evening, my walking pace is about a 19 m/m.

Morning walks have been nice if dark and cold! Ithas been easier getting up early after being on the east coast then changing off of daylight savings the same day we got back.

Work has been going good, not too busy yet, but it will pick up here shortly. No one really knows what their duties will end up being, so we are all doing a little of everything.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning~ :)

Lynn~ sorry the knee isn't mending as fast. I'm sure it's frustrating. :wizard:

Margie~ Hi, I mulch our leaves with the tractor, throw some Scotts on top and wait for spring. :goodvibes

Connie~ Extra pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: and :grouphug::grouphug: for your granddaughter.
Off to the Big City today....new blackberry being fed-ex'ed for Friday :headache::

As I was driving in I met Lynn on the road as she was walking nad I forgot to tell here her walking form looked really good,

PT test today

Good morning everyone! I did 3 miles this morning. It felt colder than it was because of the wet weather. My shoes got soggy so I think it was raining a bit harder than I thought or maybe I just ran into a puddle.

Connie - I'm really sorry to hear about the lack of help - that's so frustrating. I'll keep your DGD in my prayers. I hope something will work out.

Lynn - pixiedust: for your knee!

Jack - Hope your BB gets fixed soon!

Sue - I don't know about this daylight savings. I'd much rather have the extra hour of daylight at the end of the workday. I think the morning sunshine is only going to last another two weeks or so. Thinking about training through February made me a little nervous. I'm not sure I can do it but there aren't that many 30K races. I figure if I can do this one, then I'll survive a marathon.

That's all for now! Have a great day everyone :)

Good morning, Everyone!

Thank you all for your prayers and PD. My DGD really needs them.

We have been building a wall in our house. The addition had a door that had been sealed up. We took the door out and put in a wall. We are getting ready for a remodel. oh yay!

Good luck with the crackberry, Jack.

Scott - Thanks for all you do!

Lynn - congratulations on the great form. I hope the knee feels better and better and better!!!

Margie- Yes, she does have a zillion trees! The primary things to see in Margie's home state iare trees, hills and water!!! Your house and yard are beautiful!

Jennifer - glad school is better!

Panda's are going extinct? I guess we are lucky to have one!

Hi Team!

Ran in the rain last night. Couldn't deal with running on the TM so opted to get wet. Hoping for better weather tonight but the sky is really dark right now.

Have seen houses with their Christmas lights on.:scared1:It's too early.

It's our monthly birthday celebration at work. Just waiting to eat cake.:thumbsup2

Have a great evening everyone.......Sue

Christmas Lights already.... WOW too soon,

Not a good day, and not enough time.

I managed to get a 5k though in 25:30.

Thank goodness its Friday!

Best,
Jennifer
